The Super Eagles have expressed their disappointment over their 2-0 defeat to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.

Two second-half goals courtesy of Tokelo Rantie and Percy Tau, saw Stuart Baxter’s side claim a famous away victory.

Buhari commend El-Rufai for ordering arrest of those asking Igbos to vacate North


President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai for ordering the arrest of leaders of the Coalition of Northern Youths, CNY, for asking Igbos to vacate the North in three months.

Buhari’s commendation was disclosed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Wednesday.

The Minister, who took to his Twitter handle, @MohammedLai wrote:

Former Super Eagles striker, Victor Anichebe, has expressed his indecision over a possible return to the senior national team.

Anichebe, who announced his retirement from international football in 2012, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Wednesday that he was happy with the crop of young talented players in the team.

The accident according to a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan by the Oyo Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Yusuff K. Salami occurred at about 8.30am and was caused by wrongful overtaking and mechanical deficiency.

The Federal Government has deployed 44 career ambassadors-designate in their respective countries of accreditation.
