Unbelievable! Maths teacher kills his 83-year-old uncle over piece of land


A Mathematics teacher with Ukpata Community Secondary School in Uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, has reportedly killed his 83 year old uncle over ownership of a piece of land.

Officers of the state polic83-year-oldave arrested the father of two, Daniel Ekemezie, after committing the crime.

In a statement released by the command, Daniel, left his home in Ukpata Community on March 4 to attack his Uncle.

A young Nigerian man has made a shocking confession in T.B. Joshua’s controversial Lagos-based church, claiming he was delivered from the “spirit of man” which led him into “male prostitution.” According to Jonathan Etumodor, a Delta-State indigene, he felt an ‘evil spirit’ enter him during a casual swim in a river as a young boy.

Growing up, he began having “affection” for his fellow men. “Older men would meet me, have sex with me and pay me,” Etumodor recounted. “Sometimes, they would invite me to their homes, even when their wife was there. They would put me in their guest-room, telling the wife that I was someone from their office”, he said.

Tears flowed at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos State, on Thursday, as one of the victims of the Queen’s College diarrhea outbreak, Praise Sodipo, was buried.

Representatives of the school’s management, colleagues, family, and friends of the victim paid their last respect to the 14-year-old, who died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, last Friday.

Some of the mourners broke down in tears when the coffin was opened for all to see late Sodipo, who was dressed in her school uniform.

The accident occurred around 2:55pm on Friday when a commercial bus, known as ‘danfo’ on top speed lost control after hitting a jeep at Cane Villiage, Maryland, fell on its side and caught fire.

Obasanjo’s wife cries out over threat to her life


The wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Taiwo, has raised an alarm over plans by some people to assassinate her, following a suit she filed last month seeking to postpone the wedding between her son, Olujonwo and Miss Tope Adebutu.

Her allegations are coming four days to the hearing of the case at a Lagos High Court, before Justice Lateefa Okunnu.

Nasir el-Rufai, Kaduna state governor, on Thursday, said that some states in Nigeria’s northwest region were as backward as Afghanistan.

Speaking at the Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit, he said such states were backward in terms of education, health care, and opportunities.

Police discovers an 8-year-old girl living with monkeys


An 8-year-old girl who cannot speak and behave like normal humans has been rescued by the police in India, The Times of India reported.

Police personnel in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh rescued the girl from the monkeys after one of them, a sub-inspector, who was on patrol near the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary spotted her with the monkeys.

Nigerian couple arrested for fracturing 3-month-old baby’s bones, skull in US


A Nigerian couple in the United States have been arrested after their three-month-old baby was found with fractures in his arms, legs and skulls.

Arinola Olawusi, 33, and Olalekan Olawusi, 40 were arrested in by the police in Providence, Rhode Island after officers responding to the father’s 911 call found the baby critically injured and unconscious.

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Austin Ejide, has confirmed the death of his mother, Mrs Mary Onuekwusia Ejide, (Aruka Akwa).

Late Mrs Mary Onuekwusia, according to Austin Ejide, died in Chicago, United States of America, USA, at the age of 67 years. Although Ejide did not disclose when his mother passed away, he told newsmen that the family was making arrangements to fly her corpse back home, Agulu, Anambra State in eastern Nigeria, for burial.
