British stage and film actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw in a recent comment has shower praise on one of African Influential Women Oprah Winfrey. She had an interview with ES Magazine and took time to praise Oprah who she championed her success to.

Gugu says she often emails Oprah Winfrey, who she calls a “wonderful fairy godmother”. Mbatha-Raw played the title character in Belle, the 2013 British film telling the story of a mixed-race aristocrat who pursues love and the end of the slave trade in 18th-century London.

Are you serious? How would this happen to a 5years old? I am not sure Nigeria government did enough to help on the issue. 

Despite appeal and a high profile campaign, a five-year-old Nigerian boy who was born in the United Kingdom has been deported back to Nigeria, a country he has never lived in.

The kid, Rafeeq Atanda and his mother, Bola Fatumbi, was deported in what is seen as an act of injustice even after more than 8,000 people had signed a petition demanding that he be allowed to stay.

Amnesty International says Nigerian military ignored advance warnings of Boko Haram attacks on Baga, Monguno

The Nigerian military for several weeks ignored repeated warnings of impending attacks on Baga and Monguno by Boko Haram and failed to take action to protect civilians, said global human rights organisation, Amnesty International.

Amnesty’s claim corroborates PREMIUM TIMES exclusive report of January 26 which indicated the Nigerian military received reliable intelligence report indicating that the Boko Haram sect would launch a massive attack on Monguno, but that yet troops were taken by surprise when the insurgents struck early Sunday, suggesting the 5 Brigade stationed in the area failed to prepare adequately for the group’s onslaught.

A 61years old man simply known as Salisu suspected to be Gay was beating badly after he was allegedly caught trying to have his way with a 13years boy. He narrowly escaped death by the intervention of some elders and sympathizers.

Report: Spanish priests charged over child sex abuse

Ten Catholic priests and two church lay workers in the southern Spanish city of Granada have been charged with child sexual abuse, in a case brought after Pope Francis corresponded with one of the victims, court documents showed.

According to the indictment filed on Tuesday, the 12 are suspected of abusing four teenage boys in the priest's parochial home between 2004 and 2007.

They are free on bail pending trial.
