List of Top 10 richest football clubs in the world by Deloitte

Football with their method of generating funds, I was actually thinking Club like Manchester United Revenue would drop due to them not participating in the UEFA Champions League, but never say never. According to Deloitte’s annual revenue list, La Liga table-toppers Real Madrid are No.1 for the 10th straight year. Manchester United climbed back to the second spot while FC Barcelona are no long among the top three richest clubs in the world.

The list indicates that Barcelona have fallen behind clubs such as Bayern Munich and Manchester United in terms of revenue. The Catalans have recorded revenue of only 2 million this year. Incidently, this is the smallest gain amongst the top 10 clubs.

President Jonathan, Ministers Stoned at Rally in Bauchi

Reports going around says some restive youths in Bauchi state this morning attacked PDP campaign delegates, including the Minister of the FCT Senator Bala Mohammed, with stones, slippers, hammers, sachet water and other objects at the party's presidential campaign rally which held at the Ibrahim Babangida square in Bauchi the state capital.

According to reports, the youths arrived the venue of the rally singing their support for GEJ but immediately he and his entourage arrived, they started stoning and attacking members of the party.

Just got this information from LIB that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has shut down the Short Messaging Service (SMS) platform which the Buhari-Osinbajo Presidential Campaign Fundraising Committee launched two days ago to raise funds for its campaign,

Gov. Fashola, who is the the Director of the Committee, disclosed this to newsmen today. He said the party had on Tuesday January 20th launched 5 platforms for party members to donate to its campaign fund, one of which was to use the SMS code 35350 which would be activated on some networks.

Brookings Instituion Gives Insight on Why Jonathan Will Win Presidential Election In February

A US-based policy think-tank, the Brookings Institution has rated President Goodluck Jonathan as favourite to win the February 14 presidential election.

In a report by the institute, published under the Africa Growth Initiative with the title: “The 2015 presidential elections in Nigeria: The issues and challenges,” Brookings said Jonathan’s Peoples Domocratic Party (PDP) was more likely to win the February election.

Suspected Arm Robbers Confess to Just Five Operations in Lagos State

The Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command has paraded a gang of suspected robbers who confessed to have be involve in on five different operations in different parts of the state.

Our correspondent learnt that the suspects; Benneth Kwum, Monday Obembe and Gbolahan Lawal; were rounded up by the police in the Seven-Up Ijora area of Lagos while they were attempting to sell a stolen vehicle.

Report: United State Committed To Credible Elections In Nigeria – Ambassador

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, has declared his country’s support for a free and fair election in Nigeria this February.
