Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong, has revealed that he polished players’ shoes while he was a youth player in Tottenham Hotspur.

Troost-Ekong who now plays for Gent in Belgium, moved to Spurs amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.

The President returned to Nigeria on Friday morning after 49 days in London, sparking controversy over his health status and fitness to rule Nigeria.

The Edo State Government has declared seven days mourning for the death of former Military Governor of defunct Mid-West State and defunct Bendel State, Brigadier General Samuel Ogbemudia (rtd).

Court rule out case challenging Tambuwal as Sokoto Governor


The Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out an application filed by Senator Umar Dahiru seeking to amend the suit challenging the nomination and subsequent election of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.

Senator Dahiru based his motion on the basis that the Governor was wrongly nominated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election which held on April 11, 2015.

However, neither the plaintiff Senator Dahiru, nor Governor Tambuwal, were in court for the ruling.

A 40-year-old man who allegedly posed as Justin Bieber on social media platforms has been charged with more than 900 child sex offences, police said on Thursday.

The man identified Gordon Douglas Chalmers, a law lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, allegedly posed as the Canadian singer online to solicit explicit images from children who probably thought they were chatting with the star.

A former North West University senior financial officer and his mother has been jailed for stealing over R17 million (N403M) from student loans. Bradley Freeman and his mother Judick Freeman, who both appeared at the North West High Court in South Africa on Tuesday, were respectively sentenced to 15 and 10 years in prison for money laundering.
