Jonathan, Chibok Girls, British Offer and the Dwarf Emperor of Kaduna


A namby-pamby London-based newspaper that goes by its appropriate name, “Observer”, falsely observed that former President Goodluck Jonathan purportedly rejected an offer from the British government to help rescue the abducted Chibok girls during the Jonathan administration.

This is not the first time a foreign based newspaper would stoop so low to allow itself be used by spin doctors of the current administration in Nigeria to continue to futilely attempt to smear Jonathan’s gargantuan image and whose records have remained unmatchable, hence, a source of concern to this government, and exposure of their ineptitude and perfunctory approach to governance nearly two years after the former president left office.

Embattled Nollywood Filmmaker Seun Egbegbe arraign in court over alleged fraud


A Nigerian filmmaker, Olajide Kazeem, alias Seun Egbegbe, was on Friday re-arraigned at a Federal High Court in Lagos, over charges of fraud.

Egbegbe, who was charged alongside one Oyekan Ayomide, was arraigned on February 10, before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo.

The duo was accused of swindling more than 30 Bureau De Change (BDC) operators of various sums both in local and foreign currencies between 2015 and 2017 in Lagos.

Man hands himself over to police after stabbing a Nigerian prostitute to death


A 34-year-old man has been arrested by the police in Ghana for allegedly killing a Nigerian commercial sex worker, who he claimed stole his money after he had had sex with her.

Isaac Sackey is said to have handed himself over to the police after stabbing the said prostitute two times in the stomach and thigh on Wednesday, March 8th.

He is said to have approached the woman, identified only as Tina, a Nigerian, for sex at a drinking spot at Baatsona, near the Spintex Road, in Accra, at about 8 p.m after having some drinks with his male friends.

Slaughter of Almajiri children in Niger State, barbaric, callous, inhuman - Umar Nasko


Umar Nasko, former Gubernatorial candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State has condemned the brutal murder of Almajiri children in an Islamic State.

Earlier we reported that suspected ritualists on Wednesday, stormed the school located in Tungan Magajiya in Rijau Local government area and slaughtered five young boys and then made away with their blood. One survived and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

Pope Francis to consider making married men priests


Pope Francis has said that the church may consider ordaining married men who could potentially then work in remote areas facing a shortage of priests.
'We must think about whether viri probati are a possibility,” Francis said in an interview published on Thursday. He was referring to older, married men who are already involved in church business.

Jeez! Ritualists Kill School Boys, Drain Their Blood (Disturbing Photo)


No fewer than 5 boys were attacked in two Islamic schools at Tungan Magajiya in Rijau Local Government of Niger State by suspected ritual killers.

Investigation revealed that the killers slaughtered three boys in an Islamic school and made away with their blood at 3am on Wednesday but two others survived the attack.

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has refused to blame referee Deniz Aytekin, for his performance in Barcelona’s dramatic 6-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Infantino also warned that football’s lawmakers, should be careful with adjusting the rules.

He, however, admitted that video assistant referees (VARs), will ensure “clear mistakes” are corrected. VARs are being introduced gradually into the game.

PDP NWC accepts reconciliation committee’s recommendations


The National Working Committee of Peoples Democratic Party said it had accepted the recommendations in the report of the party’s Reconciliation Committee.

The National Chairman of the party, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff, said this at a news conference on Thursday in Abuja.

Sheriff said the NWC believed that the recommendations of the committee headed Bayelsa governor, Mr Sariake Dickson, met the requirements for the conduct of national convention and reconciliation procedures.
