Ghanaian politician's daughter commits suicide after allegedly failing a course in school

Adwoa Agyarkwa, the daughter of Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi, an NPP Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem central constituency, has hanged herself.

The 18 -year-old first-year Chemical Engineering student, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), was found dead on Friday morning in her hostel room with a rope hanging around her neck.

Missing 12-yr-old reportedly fled home with house maid, found in Ogun

The missing 12-year-old daughter of a Ghanaian family, Faith Ayeh, alleged to have been kidnapped by their house help, Mary, has been found.

The missing child was reportedly found in Abeokuta, Ogun state, by a man who had seen the reports about Faith, Punch reports.

Four people killed amid Ondo governor’s swearing-in

No fewer than four persons have been killed in Ondo town in a clash between two cult groups.

According to a source, the two rival cult groups were fighting over the move of some former members of the All Progressives Congress who had earlier defected to the Alliance for Democracy but planned to return to the APC.

The clash was said to have started at the APC secretariat located at Yaba Street in Ondo town before it spread to different locations in the town.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, summoned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to Aso Rock following the resurgence of violence in Southern Kaduna.

According to The Punch, Idris was summoned towards the tail end of last week to provide an explanation on the recent violence which resulted in the deaths of 21 persons in the area.
