"It's wicked to say I bleach" - Reminisce


Rapper, Reminisce has slammed rumour mongers who have accused him of bleaching. The rapper disclosed that it was wicked for anyone to say that he bleaches, as he has always been fair and also eats good food. According to him, people who know him before he stepped into the limelight can back this claim.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris has said that Nigeria was under police because the police was underfunded, a development, according to him had impeded the improvement of security in the country.

He made the statement in Sokoto when Government Secondary School, Farfaru Old Boys Association (FOBA) ‎honoured him and seven others.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says all its officials who participated in the Etche rerun election in Rivers State have returned safely.‎

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Aniedi Ikoiwak disclosed this in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Tonia Nwobi.

Ikoiwak also disclosed that the INEC official who was kidnapped during the election had regained freedom.

Four people killed amid Ondo governor’s swearing-in


No fewer than four persons have been killed in Ondo town in a clash between two cult groups.

According to a source, the two rival cult groups were fighting over the move of some former members of the All Progressives Congress who had earlier defected to the Alliance for Democracy but planned to return to the APC.

The clash was said to have started at the APC secretariat located at Yaba Street in Ondo town before it spread to different locations in the town.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo summons IGP to Aso Rock over Southern Kaduna killings


Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, summoned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to Aso Rock following the resurgence of violence in Southern Kaduna.

According to The Punch, Idris was summoned towards the tail end of last week to provide an explanation on the recent violence which resulted in the deaths of 21 persons in the area.

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed why it restricted candidates from choosing two public universities during the 2017 online registration.

Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Head of Media and Information, told newsmen on Saturday that the choice of public universities was restricted to one but candidates can choose as many colleges of education and polytechnics as they want.

Obasanjo says Buhari has not disappointed him


Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says that the current Nigerian leader, Muhammadu Buhari, has not disappointed him since he assumed office in 2015.

Obasanjo stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at his hilltop residence in Abeokuta.

A German archaeologist, Peter Breunig, and his colleague, Johannes Buringer, were released on Saturday night, police sources stated.
“Yes, they were released last night (Saturday) by their kidnappers. No ransom was paid,” a senior police officer said in Kaduna on condition of anonymity.
“We are expecting an official statement from Force Headquarters , Abuja with details of their release.

Police burst men traveling with 800,000 liters of diesel


Ship crew members comprising of Ogbolu Louis (Captain), Izuazu Anayo (Chief Engineer), Solomon Agbanoma (Able Seaman) and a depot manager, Olajide Kabir, are now cooling off in police net, after being arrested with 800,000 litres of adulterated diesel in Lagos, they were transporting with a marine vessel, Jazzi.

Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the men were arrested by IGP’S Task Force on Illegal Petroleum Bunkering, at a location in Kirikiri area of Lagos State.

Iheoma was knocked down by a hit-and-run vehicle along Kubwa expressway in Abuja 2 days ago.

Rivers Rerun: Army Arrests Spokesman Of Pdp, 50 Others

Physician says Bedwetting is among adults is hereditary


Dr Tolulope Otuneye, a General Medical practitioner at the National Hospital, Abuja, has described bedwetting among adults as a “genetic medical sickness’’. Otuneye said in Abuja on Saturday that bedwetting during sleep is also referred to as `nocturnal enuresis’.

According to him, this is a medical condition known to occur more among children ostensibly from an immature bladder. He, however, noted that the phenomenon among adult, indicated an underlying health condition or traits inherited from the family.
