Dino Melaye: Why Nigerians are not ‘feeling’ APC change

Senator Dino Melaye has said the reason Nigerians are yet to feel the impact of change promised by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is because of the civil servants who according to him, are responsible for major corruption in the country and have refused to repent and internalize the change mantra within their hearts.

Melaye, who stated this during a chat with the media in Abuja, noted that change mantra was not about the APC as a political party but about the way Nigerians conduct themselves and operate government agencies and activities.

Man United legend and former captain, Roy Keane, has blasted Paul Pogba and his brother Florentin Pogba for their bromance during Man U's 3-0 win over Saint-Etienne in Thursday night's Europa League clash at Old Trafford.

Florentin, who plays for Saint-Etienne was seen hugging and conversing with Paul at half time and at the end of the match as the pair walked down the tunnel, and Keane, a coach and pundit blasted the pair saying their chat was 'over the top'.

JAMB 2017 examinations to hold in May

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have announced that the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will hold in May 2017.

This was made known by the JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, through the Board’s Twitter handle @jambhq

According to him, actual dates will be announced soon. He also advised candidates to beware of false dates and fraudsters.

Kaduna airport tested and ready, says relocation committee chairman

Mohammed Joji, chairman coordinating committee on Abuja relocation, has said that the Kaduna international airport is ready for heavy commercial use.

Joji, who is also the secretary-general, aircraft operators in Nigeria, made the remark on Friday after inspecting facilities at the airport.

Speaking to reporters in Kaduna, Joji said, “All the equipment were tested and are doing fine. As far as I am concerned, I am comfortable with this one, we are happy about it.”

Joji said the airport had been re-branded with modern equipment in line with international best standard.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed says Miss Nigeria Pageantry is an integral part of the nation’s creative industry that should be made a national asset.

The minister stated this on Friday in Abuja when the management of Daily Times, the initiator and franchise owner of Miss Nigeria pageantry visited him in his office.

It was reported that the delegation was led by the Chairman of Daily Times, Mr Fidelis Anosike and accompanied by the 40th Miss Nigeria, Chioma Obiadi.

Buhari Muhammad undergoes penis surgery

Nine-month-old Buhari Muhammad, whose genital was cut off by his step-mother, has undergone first corrective surgery at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida, Niger.

Mrs Mariam Kolo, the Director-General of the state Child Rights Protection Agency, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Minna on Friday.

Kolo told journalists that the surgery was part of the series of operations that the boy would undergo. “He was operated upon by four neurologists and he is responding to treatment. “Several other tests will still be conducted to prepare him for the next operation,’’ Kolo said.

A Zimbabwean woman, Wendy Mbito was grisly murdered and found stashed under her matrimonial bed with a string tied around her neck.

Her husband, Sibert Nyamudeza a trader in Zimbabwe, is alleged to have committed the murder.

He is reportedly on the run after killing his wife Wendy Mbito following an altercation over a used condom found in his pocket.

Sibert is said to have strangled Wendy with strings in her sleep and stashed the corpse under their matrimonial bed.

FUTO student block school gate in protest over free Wi-Fi
