Unbelievable! Man bags 6 months sentence for stealing dry fish, noodles in Osun State
A 19-year-old man, Ogunlusi Abass, on Friday was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment by an Osogbo Magistrates’ court in Osun State for stealing dry fish and seven pieces of noodles, with a tin of three crown milk.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun, told the court that Abass committed the offence on January 28, 2017.
According to him, the stolen items belonged to one Rasheed Shakirat of Onibueja area of Osogbo.

JAMB 2017 examinations to hold in May
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have announced that the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will hold in May 2017.
This was made known by the JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, through the Board’s Twitter handle @jambhq
According to him, actual dates will be announced soon. He also advised candidates to beware of false dates and fraudsters.
Kaduna airport tested and ready, says relocation committee chairman
Mohammed Joji, chairman coordinating committee on Abuja relocation, has said that the Kaduna international airport is ready for heavy commercial use.
Joji, who is also the secretary-general, aircraft operators in Nigeria, made the remark on Friday after inspecting facilities at the airport.
Speaking to reporters in Kaduna, Joji said, “All the equipment were tested and are doing fine. As far as I am concerned, I am comfortable with this one, we are happy about it.”
Joji said the airport had been re-branded with modern equipment in line with international best standard.

Buhari Muhammad undergoes penis surgery
Nine-month-old Buhari Muhammad, whose genital was cut off by his step-mother, has undergone first corrective surgery at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida, Niger.
Mrs Mariam Kolo, the Director-General of the state Child Rights Protection Agency, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Minna on Friday.
Kolo told journalists that the surgery was part of the series of operations that the boy would undergo. “He was operated upon by four neurologists and he is responding to treatment. “Several other tests will still be conducted to prepare him for the next operation,’’ Kolo said.
