North Korean Leader Spotted In Public For The First Time Since His Half-brother's Assassination


This is the first picture of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un since his half-brother was assassinated. The dictator was attending a birthday celebration for the state's late leader Kim Jong-Il in Pyongyang - the second-most important holiday of the year. 

But most of those present at the event are unaware that Jong-Il's exiled son Kim Jong-Nam was killed just days ago in what appears to have been a carefully planned assassination.

Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung has reacted to the claims by the former World Cruiserweight boxing champion, Bash Alli that he was brutalised at the expense of a foreign visitor at the office of Minister.

Reacting to Alli’s allegation yesterday, the Special Assistant on Media to minister, Nneka Ikem Anibeze, described the text message as an unsubstantiated claim with intent to deceive the public.

According to the SA Media: “Ali came to see the Minister and was told to wait at the minister’s waiting room with the 10 people who accompanied him.

FG gives update on professor who claimed HIV cure discovery


The Federal Government has frowned at the claim by Professor Maduike Ezeibe, who claimed to have discovered a cure for HIV/AIDs.

Ezeibe, a researcher in Veterinary Medicine of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Abia State, claimed the drug, which was produced with “Aluminium Magnesium Silicate” has allegedly cured 10 persons living with HIV.

The accusation, office of the minister swiftly, saying Ali is seeking attention.

A 26-year-old man has confessed to the Police that his undergraduate girlfriend died on Valentine’s Day during what he termed “rough s*x.”

RRS arrest 18-year-old serial phone thief who has been to prison 7 times (Photo)


An 18-year old serial phone thief in Oshodi has been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.

The suspect, Sadeeq Wasiu, who had been imprisoned seven times, was re-arrested in Oshodi on Tuesday after several months of being on the operatives’ wanted list.

Wasiu, alias “Omo Eiye”, as he is popularly called in Oshodi was arrested at Oshodi Under Bridge while trying to escape after snatching an Infinix Note 3 from an undergraduate.

Benue State Governor, Ortom sacks four commissioners


The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Wednesday sacked four of his commissioners and a special adviser.

This was contained in the statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr. Tahav Argezua.

Argezua, in the statement, said the governor also announced the appointment of Prof. Anthony Ijohor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, as the Secretary to the Benue State Government.

Workers Kick Against BRT, LAGBUS Fare Hike


Workers of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) yesterday rejected the increment in transport fare of Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) and LAGBUS buses approved by the Lagos State government.

The orgainsed labour unions described the act as being wicked to workers as there was no corresponding increase in salary, not minding the present biting recession in the country. The TUC, therefore, called on the governor to “correct his mistake by withdrawing the approval immediately.”

The Lagos State TUC Chairman, Francis Ogunremi, said the increment has come at no good time for the state because the country is presently faced with so much hardship that people are striving to survive.

NCC bans SIM card registrations in open places


The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has banned the registration SIM cards in open and “uncontrolled environment”.

Head of Enforcement Unit at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Salisu Abdu disclosed this on Wednesday while speaking with journalists in Abuja

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to militia operating in Agatu area of the state to surrender themselves to law enforcement agencies or face the consequences of their action. The Governor who received arms and ammunition recovered by the army in Agatu, was reacting to the recent attack on military personnel in the area which led to the killing of a soldier. He described the incident as unacceptable.

Governor Ortom restated the resolve of his administration to assist security agencies in identifying those behind the act to face justice and advised youths still in possession of illegal weapons to surrender such arms to the appropriate authorities.
