A man who is obviously tired of his marriage over what he described as demonic sexual intercourse, has approached a court for the dissolution of his 12-year-old marriage to his wife in Lagos. 

One Idongesit Etuk, on Tuesday sought the dissolution of his 12-year-old marriage at a Customary Court in Agege, Lagos State.

Etuk accused his wife, Blessing, of being demonic.

According to him, his 40-year-old wife prefers him to ‘give her a head’ only when she is on her menstruation.

Three people have dropped dead after they reportedly drank palm wine mixed with a concoction at Ilepa Quarters in Ikare Akoko, the headquarters of the Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday.

The victims were said to have taken the palm wine in the house of a friend of theirs, identified as Azeez who allegedly prepared the drink while celebrating his birthday, reports Punch.

A source narrated that the palm wine allegedly contained some substances called gegemu and maladol. The substances were reportedly mixed with the palm wine in order to intoxicate the consumers.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday lost one of its member, Hon Bello Mashi Sani, (APC), representing Mashi/Dvisi federal constituency of Katsina state.

Announcing the death, the Speaker of the House, Hon Yakubu Dogara in a statement described the late Sani as humane, principled and a cosmopolitan who interacted freely with all members.

“With great sadness, I receive the news of the death of Hon. Bello Sani, who represented Mashi/Dvisi federal constituency of Katsina state,” Dogara said in a statement.

“I also gave the regular (daily) for N50.00 and sports newspaper for N20.00 to those who came here to read and return the paper and still sold the paper to those who wanted to buy.”

A 33-year-old man, Festus Anyanime, has regretted killing his twin daughters because they allegedly confessed to be witches.

Anyanime, a taxi driver from Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State, said he killed his 11-year-old twin daughters, identified as Emediong and Mfoniso, with poisoned malt drink on January 10, 2017.
