Dutch Company Invents First Commercial Flying Car (Photos)

Dutch company PAL-V International B.V. has officially launched sales for its two commercial models of flying cars this week, promising deliveries of the road and air certificated models by the end of 2018.

"After years of hard work, beating the technical and qualification challenges, our team succeeded in creating an innovative flying car that complies with existing safety standards, determined by regulatory bodies around the world," announced PAL-V CEO, Robert Dingemanse.

At the 2017 Grammy Awards, American a cappella band Pentatonix and Dolly Parton won the Best County duo/group performance for their spin on the classic song ‘Jolene’.

What most people might not know is the group has a 28-year-old Nigerian member named Kevin Olusola who is the beatboxer for the group and also a rapper, record producer and singer.

Kevin’s father is Nigerian psychiatrist Oluwole Olusola and his mother is Grenadian-born Curline Paul. He is a master of the cello, saxophone and piano.

Bello Sani, An House Of Reps Member Is Dead

The House of Representatives on Wednesday lost one of its member, Hon Bello Mashi Sani, (APC), representing Mashi/Dvisi federal constituency of Katsina state.

Announcing the death, the Speaker of the House, Hon Yakubu Dogara in a statement described the late Sani as humane, principled and a cosmopolitan who interacted freely with all members.

“With great sadness, I receive the news of the death of Hon. Bello Sani, who represented Mashi/Dvisi federal constituency of Katsina state,” Dogara said in a statement.

Her name is Vicky and she started selling newspapers when she was 9-years-old and now in Junior Secondary, JSS III in WAPI, she makes on the average N500 and N600 proceeds daily from the venture. She even had Cross river state governor, Gov Ayade as one of her customers.

Vicky told Vanguard:

“I also gave the regular (daily) for N50.00 and sports newspaper for N20.00 to those who came here to read and return the paper and still sold the paper to those who wanted to buy.”

The 36-year-old was rushed to hospital with deep flesh wounds after the visit to the Eco Game Park in Headlands, in the Province of Manicaland, Eastern Zimbabwe.

Governor Fayose says FG withholding Ekiti allocations to frustrate projects

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has accused the Federal Government of directing the Federal Ministry of Finance to withhold the January Federal Allocation and the Budget Support Fund due to Ekiti State.

The Federal Government, the governor argued, did this because of his criticisms of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration

He also accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of embarking on a witch-hunt of the contractors handling the state’s projects in order to frustrate his government and prepare the ground for the All Progressives Congress’ return.

A 33-year-old man, Festus Anyanime, has regretted killing his twin daughters because they allegedly confessed to be witches.

Anyanime, a taxi driver from Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State, said he killed his 11-year-old twin daughters, identified as Emediong and Mfoniso, with poisoned malt drink on January 10, 2017.

He was paraded alongside other criminals at the Cross River State Police Command in Calabar on Tuesday.

The group noted that the hardship being experienced by Nigerians under the current government led by President Muhammadu Buhari was becoming unbearable.

FHRACC slammed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Lawal Babachir for hailing those who staged pro-government protest on Tuesday.
