A Facebook user shared how a pastor's wife fainted after receiving the surprise of her life on her 50th birthday.

According to the Facebook user, the Pastor had surprised her by bringing her parents from Nigeria to spend her 50th birthday with her in the US. Something the lady never had any piece of information about. Out of pure joy, the woman collapses actually it was just overjoy ... She quickly recovered to give her dad a big hug.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has said the Federal Government’s plan to secure a $1bn Eurobond might prolong the nation’s economic crisis.

The governor, who is also the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party’s Governors’ Forum, challenged the Federal Government to clarify who the beneficiaries of the bond would be as its repayment would last till 2032.

The governor, in a statement issued on Friday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, threatened to sue the Federal Government if it fails to do so.

He said, “What I’m even worried about and which they must explain to us is that you cannot get a bond without committing it to the source.

Soldiers who assaulted physically challenged man demoted, jailed


The two soldiers who assaulted a physically challenged man, Chijoke Uraku, popularly known as CJ, in Onitsha, Anmabra State have been demoted and jailed.

The identities of the soldiers have been given as Corporal Bature Samuel and Corporal Abdulazeez Usman, both of the 82 Provost Company.

The two on Tuesday in Onitsha beat up Uraku for putting on army camouflage.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman, said in a statement late on Friday that Usman and Samuel have been found guilty for the attack on Uraku.

According to reports by Sahara Reporters, a rift might be ongoing between aides to President Muhammadu Buhari and the president's doctors.

It is alleged that the rift is over a possible return of the President this Saturday, February 11.

Presidency sources have said that President Muhammadu Buhari plans to return to Nigeria on Saturday after his test results came in “fine.” However, Mr. Buhari’s return remains uncertain as his team of doctors in the United Kingdom has yet to certify him fit to take on the significant burden of his office.

So sad! Polytechnic Student Sacrificed Her Life to Save Younger Brother in Lagos


A polytechnic undergraduate in Lagos has been sent to an early grave after saving her younger brother from death.

Bukola Ajayi, a 20-year-old undergraduate of Yaba College of Technology, sacrificed her life for her younger brother on Tuesday after the brakes of an overloaded trailer failed at the Ekoro junction, in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.

The trailer driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle, which reportedly sped in the direction of a tricycle Ajayi and her brother boarded.

The Nigeria national football team, the Super Eagles has moved up several spots in the FIFA monthly world ranking.

On February 8, 2017 I tweeted about joining the NLC on their walk for good governance. I was really not too surprised at the kinds of responses I got from fellow frustrated Nigerians: My people just dey query me as per how somebody like me go come gum body with  NLC "Fake" people like that.

For starters, let me make this clear; If the devil like make him hold rally, I go appear to use that platform to send my message to my fellow frustrated Naijas. Until I posted a tweet about marching with NLC in Lagos, I didn't realize how most nigerians had lost respect/trust for the union. In fact one of the feedbacks I received blaming the compromised NLC for the death of a family member really evoked some strange feelings in me.

19-year-old boy defiles 6-year-old sister in Sokoto


A teenager, Isah Umar, who allegedly lured his six-year-old sister into his room before defiling her, is to cool his heels in prison in the next 30 days, a Sokoto Magistrates’ Court ruled on Friday.

The Magistrate, Mr Abubakar Adamu, who gave the ruling, said the accused should remain behind bars pending the outcome of further investigations by the Police.

On Monday, February 6, 2017, was a dreary day in Warri, Delta state at the burial of a fresh 24-year-old Nigerian medical doctor, Dr. Nancy Oghenetega Appih.

Nancy graduated on June 24, 2016 from Ivana-Frankivsk National Medical University in Ukraine.

Dr. Nancy returned to the country immediately after her graduation and completing all necessary requirements for her certificate.

Kogi State | Unknown Gunmen attack police station, kill two officers


Some gunmen attacked a police station at Eika community in Okehi local government area of Kogi state in the early hours of Friday, killing two policemen and a detainee.

According to NAN, the bandits invaded the station around 1am and immediately opened fire on policemen on duty.

The heavily armed hoodlums, said to be about 10, later set the station ablaze and proceeded to the house of Sadiq Obomi, chairman, Eika community development association, and killed him.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it has opened an embassy in Spain.

The group is seeking an independent state for the south-east and adjoining areas. Kayode Ogundamisi, a journalist, shared a video of the embassy on Facebook.

In the video, Uchenna Asiegbu, IPOB directorate head, is seen taking a guest on a tour of the facility.
