The second prosecution witness in the trial of the Senate President Bukola Saraki, Amazu Nwachukwu, yesterday continued his testimony at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
He said a fire incident at the Ilorin branch of Guaranty Trust Bank, destroyed documents on the alleged foreign funds transfer when Saraki was governor in 2011.
The witness, a senior staff of the bank, said during cross-examination led by the defence counsel, Paul Usoro (SAN), that he did not have the opportunity of seeing the said document before it was destroyed by the fire.
