340,634 registered voters for Lagos bye election on Saturday – INEC


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has said that it has 340, 634 registered voters for the Dec. 3 bye-election in Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency of Lagos State.

Clement Oha, INEC Administrative Secretary in Lagos State told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the distribution of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) was ongoing ahead of the poll. “We are distributing PVCs so eligible registered voters can still go to INEC office in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government and pick up their PVCs,” Oha said.

CBN: Naira has lost 85% of its value in two years


The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has revealed that the nation’s currency has lost about 85 per cent of its value in the last two years, harping on the need for risks managers in banks to brace up to the risks facing the banking sector.

A final year student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka studying Agric Economics has taken his life.

According to his friend, Nwachukwu Daniel Ikechukwu, who yesterday posted the photo on Facebook, the young man killed himself over a debt. Apparently, he lost some money to betting.
