I’m No More A Muslim, I’m A Born Again Christian – Adewale Ayuba


Popular Fuji musician, Adewale Ayuba, has opened up on his fear after his conversion from Islam to Christianity.

Ayuba who was born and bred in a Muslim family, said he has been a Christian since 2010, but hasn’t been practicing it for fear of being killed.

In an open confession in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, recently, Ayuba admitted that he is now proudly a full Christian.

DHQ warns, "Beware of criminals parading in military uniforms"


The Defence Headquarters on Saturday warned Nigerians that suspected criminals had been parading in military uniforms and disguising as armed forces personnel.

A statement by DHQ spokesman, Rabe Abubakar, said in a statement that this discovery came on the heels of the arrest of a fake female major in Abuja and the killing of four security operatives in Bayelsa by persons dressed in military uniforms.

The operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have foiled an attempt to snatch a ballot box in the ongoing gubernatorial elections in Ondo State.

Flamboyant human rights lawyer, Mr. Fred Agbaje, died on Saturday in London after an undisclosed illness.

News of his death flashed through social media although the cause was not known.

Agbaje, who hailed from Akoko Edo in Edo State, was renowned for his robust human rights work and legal insight.

A friend and colleague, Mr. Richard Akinnola, confirmed the news.

President Raul Castro confirms Fidel Castro is to be cremated


Former Cuban President Fidel Castro who died on Friday at the age of 90 years is to be cremated in accordance with the deceased’s wishes, President Raul Castro, who is Fidel’s brother, said.

Fidel Castro ruled Cuba for 47 years and saw off 10 U.S. presidents in the process.

Former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has spoken out for the first time about threats she received after a public falling out with Jose Mourinho led to her resignation.

She told the Telegraph about death threats as well as threats of sexual violence. She said: “Even though I don’t have a presence on social media – I think I have made one post ever in my life – some of the threats of sexual violence and death threats make it through. They [the abusers] just seem to be faceless cowards and they should be answerable to legislation.”

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State deepened on Saturday as the state executive members loyal to Senator Buruji Kashamu expelled former Governor Gbenga Daniel from the party.

Others expelled also include a serving member of the House of Representatives representing Remo Federal Constituency, Ladi Adebutu; a former member of Ogun State House of Assembly, Tolu Bankole; and the factional chairman of the party in the state, Sikirulai Ogundele.

The Ogundele faction had, on Friday, announced Kashamu’s suspension, even as he represents Ogun East Senatorial District in the Senate.

A former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, has said the administrations of former President Goodluck Jonathan and that of the incumbent, Muhammadu Buhari, led the nation’s economy into recession by failing to adopt the right policies to deal with the crash in crude oil prices, which began in mid-2014.

Ezekwesili noted that while Jonathan’s administration failed to do something about the impending recession before leaving office, the current administration also failed to launch a comprehensive fiscal stabilization programme on assumption of office in May 2015.

Fidel Castro’s place in history is assured - Buhari


President Muhammadu Buhari, has condoled with the government and people of Cuba over the death of Fidel Castro, the country’s longest serving President, who died aged 90.

In a condolence message signed by Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Buhari offered his deepest condolences to the Cuban President, Raul Castro and the people of Cuba over the death announced early today.

Raul is the younger brother and successor of the deceased.

Ogun State | EFCC arraigns woman over fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Friday November 25, 2016 arraigned one Folashade Olukemi Adeleke before Justice O. O. Majekodunmi of the State High Court sitting at Abeokuta, Ogun State on a 2- count charge bordering on stealing. She however pleaded not guilty to the charges. One of the charge reads:
"That you Folashade on or about the 18th of November 2013 at Abeokuta within the Abeokuta Judicial Division stole the sum of N4,000,000.00 (Four Million Naira) only property of mrs Virginia Ngozi Ojelade which sum you receiver as part payment for the purchase of a property situate and lying at Ajebo Road Estate, Abeokuta

Angry Kenyan women beat up drunken men for not satisfying them sexually (Photos)


Angry women of King'eero village in Kabere constituency, Kenya, on Thursday, raided the home of a chang'aa seller and beat up four men. The group of women numbering about 50 rained slaps, kicks and blows on the drunk men during the early morning raid.

Members of Destiny of King'eero Women's Group, formed to monitor drinking joints in King'eero township, found the four men drinking at the home of a suspected chang'aa seller. The men fled to a nearby maize plantation following the ambush at the home of 50-year old Franco Okori.

A school head teacher who defiled his 13-year-old pupil over incomplete homework has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment will serve 25. Alex Otieno, also the proprietor of Starlet Academy in Nakuru, was convicted of the offence by a Nakuru court on Thursday, November 24th. The 36-year-old father of three was charged that he committed the offence between April 30, 2013 and July 19, 2013 at Dundori in Nakuru County.

In her testimony, the minor said that on July 19, 2013, the teacher called her to his office after he found out that she had not completed her Composition and Social Studies homework. Former-AWELGA boss seeks FIFA's help to expose Footballer Joseph Izu's killers


A former Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Council of Rivers State, Ikechukwu Obuzor has called on world's football governing body, FIFA, to suspend Nigeria from all competitions until the government orders the military to produce the rogue soldiers involved in murder of 3SC of Ibadan defender, Joseph Izu.

Izu was allegedly murdered by soldiers attached to the Joint Task Force (JTF) based in Akinima while holidaying at his hometown Okarki in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
