A female student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) who certainly has grown tired of the current lengthy strike action by ASUU decided to make a cake to applaud the union.

The lady identified as Adeosun Omolola Husseifat, shared the post saying:

A British woman reportedly fell to her death from the 9th-floor balcony of a hotel after a night out with her boyfriend.

A British woman identified as Danielle Hall, reportedly fell off the 9th-floor balcony of the Bermudas hotel in the Benidorm town, Spain, after a night out with her boyfriend.

Hall who reportedly died upon hitting the ground was said to have gone partying at the Costa Blanca resort with her 23-year-old boyfriend Jordan, earlier that night.

BREAKING: President Buhari departs Abuja to Morocco



Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja for Morocco ahead of a crucial meeting on climate change.

According to a post by Femi Adesina, the President is to attend the Climate Change Conference COP 22 in Marrakesh on 14th Nov 2016.

President Buhari is also to participate in the official opening plenary on Tuesday, November 15 where he will deliver his national statement during the High Level Segment of COP 22.

Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has regained his freedom after he was re-arrested by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) within the court premises.

“Thanks be to God. After another 24 days in detention I am finally out. Thanks for all ur love, prayers and support. We shall prevail,” he wrote on his Facebbok page.

Frank Lampard announces he is leaving New York City FC


Frank Lampard is to leave New York City FC when his contract expires at the end of 2016, the MLS club announced Monday.

The longtime England international signed with the new American franchise in 2014, but initially spent a season with parent club Manchester City in the Premier League. After arriving at Yankee Stadium midway through the 2015 MLS season, 38-year-old Lampard went gone on to score 15 goals in 31 appearances.

Lampard teased on Instagram that he would be making an announcement regarding the "next stage" of his career soon.

Arik Air blames emergency landing on ‘noisy engine’


The management of Arik Air has said the emergency landing on Friday of its Boeing 737 aircraft flying from Lagos to Jos was due to a noise in one of the engines.

The aircraft, with registration number 5N-MJD, reportedly lost one of its two engines mid-air with over 100 passengers on board.

SaharaReporters, quoting an unnamed source, said the aircraft was already 60 miles away from Lagos when the incident occurred.

President Muhammadu Buhari may have bowed to pressure, by agreeing to withdraw the list of 46 non-career ambassadorial nominees recently submitted to the Upper Chamber for screening and confirmation.

An insider, who preferred anonymity told newsmen that the president had agreed to withdraw the list because the Senate had made it clear to him that his list was not acceptable to the parliament, as the ears and eyes of the electorate and custodian of democracy.

Soldier who fakes his own kidnap arrested in Eket


An army officer, Musa Lawal, who was reportedly kidnapped in Calabar last Thursday, allegedly faked his abduction.

Lawal was abducted around 10am after leaving a bank along Calabar Road in the Cross River State capital by his cronies, according to a security source.

It was learnt on Sunday that Lawal had allegedly arranged for his abduction to pave the way for an undisclosed illegal movement to Port Harcourt in Rivers State.

SHOCKING! Driver disappears as truck ran seven to death in Ibadan


A driver of an articulated vehicle at the weekend lost control at the New Garage area of Ibadan, Oyo State, crushing no fewer than seven persons to death.

Five people also sustained life-threatening injuries during the fatal auto mishap.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, told newsmen that only two people died, while four others sustained injuries.

Power failure halts event with VP Osinbajo on seat in Minna
