Domestic violence victim, Ivie Edobor arrived the Magistrate Court, Surulere, on November 10th, where her estranged husband is on trial for assaulting her. The mother of three was brutally attacked by her husband, John Edobor last September, following their failed marriage.

Taking to her Facebook page after the trial, she thanked her friends, family and all who came to the court to show their support.

According to the twitter handle of the chairman of the National Human rights Commission, John is now to be charged for attempted murder against the initial charge of Grievous Bodily Harm.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received info about the building on fire, a firefighting team was dispatched to the location.

Gernot Rohr rules out Goalkeeper Ezenwa for Algeria clash

Chief Technical adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has revealed that Ifeanyi Ubah FC goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, won't be selected to start for the team against the Foxes of Algeria this weekend in Uyo, AkwaIbom.

Nigeria's first choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has been ruled out of the 2018 World Cup qualifying clash due to injury, and it was thought Ezenwa will replace the Wolves goalkeeper in front of goal, but Rohr has now revealed he won't play Ezenwa because Ezenwa has not played his club side in six weeks saying he'll settle for other goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Alapasu.

Several teenagers are reportedly trading sex to get labourer jobs at the Ada Songhor Lagoon Salt site located in the Greater Accra Region.

Amnesty Int'l pleads for clemency over Nigerian man set to be executed in Singapore

The Singapore government has fixed November 18th as the date for the execution of Nigerian man, Chijioke Stephen Obioha, who was arrested for drug trafficking on April 9th 2007.

Chijioke was arraigned in a court in Singapore on December 30th 2008 and was sentenced to death for the crime which attracts capital punishment in Singapore. Chijioke was found with over 2.6 kilograms of cannabis when he was arrested.

Female students in top Manchester school- Altrincham Grammar School are furious after their female Muslim classmate filmed herself on Snapchat throwing the Holy Bible down the drain. After she was reported to school authorities, the school just gave her a warning.

The girl taunted classmates as she carried out the provocative act, leading parents to complain to her £15,000-a-year school. but she was set free after she apologised to the school authorities.

Yesterday catastrophe was averted when a fully-loaded plane of Air Peace had to abort landing at Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, en the pilot discovered that the runway had been invaded by cows.

A fully-loaded Air Peace aircraft hovered over the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri for some time after cows invaded the runway.

According to Vanguard, a passenger aboard the flight, Richard Akinola, said the pilot could not land until the runway was cleared by airport security.
