SHOCKING! Pilot forced to delay landing after cows storm Owerri Airport runway

Yesterday catastrophe was averted when a fully-loaded plane of Air Peace had to abort landing at Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, en the pilot discovered that the runway had been invaded by cows.

A fully-loaded Air Peace aircraft hovered over the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri for some time after cows invaded the runway.

According to Vanguard, a passenger aboard the flight, Richard Akinola, said the pilot could not land until the runway was cleared by airport security.

Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen is the new chief justice of Nigeria, following the retirement of Justice Mahmud Mohammed who clocked 70 on Thursday, November 10.

Walter was born on December 22, 1950 in Biase, Cross Rivers state, Onnoghen will be in office till December 2020, barring any circumstances beyond his control.

A local security team, Igbogene Vigilance Community, Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, arrested a father of two for allegedly stealing a pot of soup, 12 wraps of fufu and half basin of garri flour.

The 35-year-old, who was identified as Kaduna Enatimi, was said to be an indigene of Akassa community, Brass Local Government Area of the state.

The Head of the vigilance group, Chief MoneySweet Asomo, said the suspect was nabbed at about 2am while he was consuming the stolen food at a local shop in the area.
