President-elect Donald Trump's brand new state limousine, nicknamed The Beast, is almost ready. Leaked pictures reveal the upgraded, armored car, which will be debuted on Inauguration Day in January 2017, during top secret testing at General Motors. 

The car will likely be packed with safety features to protect the new First Family such as bulletproof glass and armor plating.

It seems Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate Prof Wole Soyinka is keeping to his words as reports making rounds suggest he may be arriving Nigerian soil for good. 

A photo circulated on the social media by a Nigerian, Prince Adeyinka Success, who said he was traveling out of the U.S but with his Canadian passport, shows the Nobel Laureate already inside a plane arranging his hand luggage.

Released Chibok girls have said Boko Haram insurgents treated them well during their over two years in captivity. This was as the girls claimed that they were not raped or abused during their stay in captivity, Thomson Reuters Foundation reports.

The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday said it had arrested a 20-year-old primary school teacher, Collins Obi, for raping a 10-year-old boy in Ibadan.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said the teacher committed sodomy on November 5, 2016, explaining that apart from teaching in the school where the victim attended, he was also the boy’s personal teacher.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Zanna, has released two Mobile Police Officers who allegedly kidnapped one Mr. Umukoro Daniel. The two officers are attached to Mobile Police Unit 31 in Ogwashi Ogwashi-Uku.

The suspected kidnappers, SaharaReporters learnt, are Corporals Musa Edon and Idide Oreva. They were said to have been arrested on a tip-off by a special team of the Delta State House of Assembly Anti-kidnapping Committee, which is made up of Messrs. Austine Opumbor, Mabiaku Ommassan,. Abraham Obarume and Tony Edafiogho, at the Okpara Waterside in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the State. Other members of the gang, however, escaped.

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has said he won’t destroy his United States’ residency permit until President-elect, Donald Trump is inaugurated in 2017.

In a report by Vanguard Newspaper, Soyinka reportedly made this known on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

The writer reportedly said he will not destroy his residency permit until he sees what becomes of Trump’s administration after inaugurated into office.

Lagos State | Judge sentences unemployed man to 3 years in prison for stealing N60k generator


An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced a 23-year-old unemployed man, Fatai Obadeyi, to three years imprisonment without the option of fine for stealing generator valued at N60,000.

The Chief Magistrate, M.O. Osinbajo, sentenced Mr. Obadeyi after he pleaded guilty to the charge.

Is-haq Oloyede, the registrar of JAMB, has said that the board cannot adequately fund the conduct of Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The professor said this in his Abuja office on Wednesday while he received a delegation of the senate committee on tertiary institutions and Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETFund).

He said: “The major challenge facing the board has to do with funding; we take N5,000 from each candidate; we do not even have the money to conduct the examination.

Police arrest 70-year-old man who defiled 8-yr-old deaf and dumb girl (Photo)


The police in Ogun have arrested a 70-year-old man, Gabriel Akindele, for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old deaf and dumb child in Owode-Ijako, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect was arrested following a complaint from the mother of the girl, who noticed an unusual behaviour by her child after the incident and through the use of sign language, she was able to ascertain what the septuagenarian had allegedly done to her.

Men using fake naira notes to buy dollars apprehended in Abuja (Photos)


Earlier today, two men were arrested at a Bureau De Change (BDC) located in Zone 4, Wuse area of Abuja, while trying to buy dollars with fake naira notes.

They mixed real and fake naira notes together to outsmart the BDC operator. They were however exposed by the vigilant operator, who discovered that only N50,000, out of the N2m, was real naira notes. He promptly organized a mini beating session for them before handing them over to security agents.
