According to Page Six, Mariah personally called ex-husband Nick Cannon to grant him the divorce so she could marry her billionaire fiance, James Parker.

The couple was married for six years. Nick filed for divorce in January 2015 but announced their split in August 2014.

Benue State | Gunmen storm courts, hold judge, lawyers hostage


There was pandemonium in Makurdi, Benue state when 10 armed riff raffs with a serious grudge against law courts stormed three courts in the Benue State capital and held a sitting judge hostage.

Unbelievably, they carted away a refrigerator, three stabilisers, a set of computers, window blinds and left behind empty bottles of drinks.

The incident occurred on Wednesday around 8am.

Grandparents, husband and wife, Leonard and Hazel Cherry who were high school sweet hearts and described as being so much in love have died hours apart in Texas. They got married in January 1942 and their marriage has lasted for over 74 years.

Their grandson, Craig Cherry, told KWTX that they had the strongest love ever. 'The two were always smiling and always deeply in love.'

About 240 migrants are believed drowned in two shipwrecks off the coast of Libya, migration officials say.

The UN refugee agency was told the news by survivors brought ashore on the Italian island of Lampedusa, spokeswoman Carlotta Sami said.

No bodies have so far been recovered.

There civilians have been taking shelter in a local mosque as soldiers go house-to-house to make sure they have rooted out all of the militants from the village.

On Wednesday a youth corps member was short in Warri, Delta State, by suspected armed robbers. The victim identified as Musa Kayode Noah, was allegedly shot near his waist, very close to his backbone, according to report.

Parents of students at a primary school in Liushi, China, have been left outraged after finding out that their daughters might have been molested during a physical exam. The female students were undergoing physical examinations on October 11 when a member of the medical staff allegedly pressed his hands on the students' chests.

Physical exams are held at Liushi Elementary School every new term.

Mob Beat Woman To Stupor 'After Believing She Killed Her Husband'(Photos)


A woman in India was brutally beaten and left unconscious by a vigilante mob who believed she was guilty of killing her husband. Ashok Paswan, 50, died following a domestic violence incident involving his wife Usha Devi, 45, in the village of Samastipur in northern India, police said.

Usha was then dragged out of her home in front of her children by a group of around 25 men. Nearly 100 people stood by and watched and no one stepped forward to help her.

Driver arrested for failed suicide says his problem is spiritual


A driver, Jacob Elegbede, who attempted to hang himself behind a primary school in Zanda, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has blamed spiritual forces, saying  he did not know what came over him.

The 48-year old father of one stated that he was not himself when he climbed a tree in an attempt to commit suicide in a nearby bush, noting that he simply found himself on the tree along with the rope he wanted to use to kill himself.

Elegbede, who worked with a construction company in Abuja, twice attempted to hang himself on Saturday and Sunday, prompting his neighbours to alert policemen, who arrested him.

United Kingdom place order for Anambra State scent leaf
