An unidentified 12-year-old appeared in court Tuesday for stabbing another boy, 11-year-old Granville Bosel to death.

The 12-year-old was later released into his mother’s care while the investigation into the stabbing continued. The circumstances surrounding Bosel’s death is yet unknown.

NNPC Managing Director, Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue's cook absconds with $6m in cash and jewelry

A chef who worked for a Managing Director at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mrs Esther Nnadi-Ogbue, has absconded with cash and pieces of jewelry worth $6million, according to Sahara Reporters.

The man, identified as Gabel Segbedji, a Benin Republic national took off with the loot in a Toyota Camry car which also belonged to her boss, last Wednesday.

Former Custom Boss, Abdullahi Dikko returns N1.4 billion, mansion seized

Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko who served as comptroller-general of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) between 2009 and 2015 has returned about N1.4 billion to the federal government.

The Punch reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) established that about N40 billion was diverted from the account of the NCS while he was in charge.

He was arrested by EFCC operatives but due to poor health, he was released.

The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi has said the situation of the country was not the change Nigerians voted for.

Ogunyemi said this while speaking at a public lecture and distinguished service award organised by the University of Ibadan chapter of the union on Wednesday.

He regarded the change promised by the All Progressives Congress as cosmetic, stating that the union was ready to educate Nigerians on the real change.

Mobile internet use passes desktop for the first time - Reports

More users around the world are accessing the internet from mobile devices than from desktop computers for the first time, according to internet monitoring firm StatCounter. The combined traffic from mobile and tablet devices tipped the balance at 51.2 percent, vs. 48.7 percent for desktop access, marking the first time this has happened since StatCounter began tracking stats for internet usage.

It’s a huge moment for the web overall: this means going forward, companies that haven’t yet decided to focus on a mobile-first approach to their internet services and web properties really should, as the trend line is unlikely to reverse.
