Kenya | Doctors successfully perform first surgery of conjoined twins in Africa (Photos)

Team of 50 Kenyan doctors and medical specialists successfully separate conjoined twins - Blessing and Favour after a 23 hour operation, the first ever separation of conjoined twins in Africa.

Doctors waited two years to perform the surgery to allow for the development of key organs, and muscle strong enough for surgery. Doctors will reconstruct the children's skins, genitalia, anal canal and bowel in subsequent operations.

The Chief Security Supervisor of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) and three others are currently being interrogated by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for their alleged involvement in the exportation of 144kg of Ephedrine to Maputo, Mozambique.

The drugs which were concealed in noodle packs and packed in three brown cartons stuffed with cereals and hair products, were discovered by officials at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja.

According to Inside Edition, a New Hampshire 16-year-old rescued his toddler sister from their burning home after realizing she was still in the house.

Brandon Hutchins woke up from a nap to the sound of a smoke alarm and the sight of flames at his window on the evening of October 26, he said.
