Ekiti State | Fayose Suspends Anti-grazing Marshals (See Why)

The operations of the Grazing Enforcement Marshall, established to enforce the Ekiti State Government’s Anti-Grazing Act has been suspended, according to Channels TV.

The Act prohibits herders from indiscriminate movement within the State with their animals at specified time.

Governor Ayodele Fayose suspended their operations on Tuesday after issues were raised by the herders’ association, claiming that some of the animals were killed by the officials.

Police in Des Moines, Iowa, say two officers have been shot and killed in ambush-style attacks.

The Des Moines Police Department said in a news release that the shootings took place early Wednesday. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at about 1:06 a.m. and found an Urbandale Police Department officer who had been shot.

Ghanaian man nabs by Lagos Police for renting out guns to robbers

A Ghanaian, John Kojo, 22 has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly supplying a locally-made pistol to a suspected robber in the Morogbo, Badagry area of the state.

Kojo was arrested on Saturday when a robbery suspect, Banhusa Abujuny, identified the Ghanaian as the owner of the gun he (Abujuny) allegedly used for robbery.

The duo was being detained by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja. The police said the gun was “stolen from another robbery gang.”
