Zimbabwe's oldest man, Thampson Mthombeni who is 114 years is a man to envy. The man has become a celebrity in his country as the oldest man in his land. But, he has aged gratefully.

H-metro revealed that although he is facing some health problems, he is determined to continue living.

”Most of the times, I spend the whole day seated and without food only to get supper before I sleep. Life of a blind person is very difficult. I am guided by the rope and I don’t attempt going anywhere outside the perimeters of the rope, lest I get lost,” narrated Mthombeni.

Margaret Boemer went for a routine ultrasound 16 weeks into her pregnancy with her third child. She quickly found out that things were far from routine.

"They saw something on the scan, and the doctor came in and told us that there was something seriously wrong with our baby and that she had a sacrococcygeal teratoma," the Plano, Texas, mom said in an interview shared by Texas Children's Hospital. "And it was very shocking and scary, because we didn't know what that long word meant or what diagnosis that would bring."

A woman teacher faces more than 200 sex charges involving two pupils. Randi Lynn Zurenko, 33, was arrested and suspended from the mixed private Catholic school. The students have been identified only as “Victims 1 and 2” and their ages have not been revealed.

One of the alleged victims is a girl, the gender of the other is unknown.

Zurenko is said to have began a relationship in January 2013 with the first one, who graduated later the same year. The pair went to a park where Zurenko massaged the girl’s back and undid her bra, said police.

A pregnant woman, Mrs. Afusat Kazeem was on Friday morning stabbed to death after being raped at her Ikorodu, Lagos residence. Osinbajo urges Varsities to support Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has urged universities and other tertiary institutions in the country to key into the anti-corruption crusade of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Kaduna Government allocates N4 billion for light rail project

The Kaduna State Government has earmarked over N4 billion for the Kaduna Metropolitan Rapid Rail Transport project to begin in 2017.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the amount is part of the N24.06 billion provided for projects under the State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport in the 2017 budget.

Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i had on Wednesday, October 12, presented an appropriation bill of over N215.9 billion to the State House of Assembly for approval.
