US Presidential Debate | Pressure on Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump

Pressure mounted on Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump Sunday as they head into their first presidential debate with a new poll showing them in a dead heat.

Mind games were on display as Trump threatened to invite Gennifer Flowers, a former lover of Bill Clinton, to watch Monday’s high-stakes battle of wits from a front-row seat.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said it was meant to show the New York billionaire had ways “to get inside the head of Hillary Clinton” but she told CNN there were no plans to invite Flowers.

Femi Falana insists He won’t apologise to Soludo

A senior lawyer, Femi Falana, on Sunday said he would not apologise to former Central Bank Governor Chukwuma Soludo over his allegationthat the ex-bank chief “dolled” out $7 billion government funds to bankers while he was in office.

Mr. Soludo has denied the allegation, saying he acted right in his dealings as Central Bank chief.

Mr. Falana, however, said he based his statement on facts made available by the Central Bank during Mr. Soludo’s stewardship.

A 7-person team of anti-corruption police officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) is currently in Nigeria to interview several associates and accomplices of former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Wraps of narcotics were discovered in the collar of a passenger’s jacket at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos. The passenger was nabbed shortly after the suspect disembarked from the aircraft on his way from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The 31-year old suspect, Agwu Samuel, confidently wore the jacket containing the drugs but through experience and insight, the drugs were discovered by officers. This is the first discovery of cocaine inside the collar of a jacket by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA.

Militants attack troops in Bakassi, Kills One soldier and two others

The Nigerian Army said that suspected militants led by a wanted kingpin, Benjamin Simplee aka G1, leader of the Bakassi Strike Force, attacked its troops in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State on Saturday, September 24th.

Sani Usman, the Director of Army Public Relations, who confirmed the incident in a statement said a soldier was killed during the attack while the troops killed two of the militants. Other militants escaped with gunshot wounds. The attackers also burnt a military pick-up vehicle.

Lagos State | Over speeding fuel truck kills one after falling and crushing a car

A fuel truck fell and crushed a car at Ikorodu road today 25th Sept, 2016 at about 4:08am. According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the Mack Truck with registration number AGL 664 XG laden with 33,000 litre PMS, belonging to Forte Oil, fell due to the overspeeding of the driver.

 'While the truck was trying to turn at the round-about, it fell on another Hyunda Saloon Car and the only occupant, an unidentified adult male died in the car.'

Boko Haram shares Photos from Ammunition seized after attack on Troops

Islamic State affiliate group Boko Haram has released propaganda images showing off arms, ammunition and other items captured from troops after a recent attack in Borno state. Hand grenades, automatic rifles, soldiers identity card, vehicles and other weapons -were among the “spoils of war” shown the terror sect.
