Around five thousand men from Bama in Borno State will secure the town against attacks by Boko Haram insurgents, it was learnt yesterday.
The people said that they had also contributed money to support the state government’s effort in reconstructing the town.
Bama, the second largest town in Borno, was the worst hit by the Boko Haram insurgency at the height of the terrorist group’s attack in the country as majority of the structures in the town were destroyed.
