According to a UN official reports, no fewer than 611 teachers were killed and 19,000 forced to flee the North-Eastern part of Nigeria between 2009 and 2015 due to the insurgency.

Mr. Oluseyi Soremekun, UN National Information Officer, made the disclosure in a media advisory made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Soremekun said that the advisory was in a report entitled: “Launch of the 2016 Global Education Monitoring Report in Nigeria” to be launched on Monday in Abuja.

Police claimed Scott, who was waiting in his car for his son's school bus, got out of the vehicle with a handgun and refused to obey orders to drop the weapon. He was shot, police said, after officers determined he posed an imminent, deadly threat.

Apostle Kenneth Kiarie of God’s Covenant Holiness Church in Mihang’o, Kayole in Nairobi 87 days marriage crashed after running into debt from marrying his 23-year-old pregnant wife. 

The 30-year-old pastor told The Nairobian that he hurriedly married Marion Wagitu “because being a pastor, I needed a wife officially married in church." adding that he borrowed money to finance their wedding which has now left him in debt.

A terrible accident was averted yesterday, September 22, after a  tipper truck loaded with sand rammed into a bus and a building in Awka, Anambra State.
