There has been a mass arrest of 106 youths including minors by the police for cultism in Bayelsa State. However, some parents and guardians in the state have kicked following the incident.

According to The Nation, the police further caused controversy by their decision to arraign 58 of the suspects at the state High Court on two-count of conspiracy and membership of cult groups.

The suspects including four minors were rounded up when a police squad raided some black spots in the capital city, Yenagoa.

Nigerian Army Recovers Large Stash of Arms after Victory against Militants


The Nigerian Army said it had recovered 55 assorted weapons from suspected criminals in the Niger Delta.

According to Vanguard, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 82 Division, Enugu, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahitu, told newsmen in Enugu on Saturday that the recoveries were made during a military exercise tagged “Operation Crocodile Smile”.

Nigeria Paralympics Team will arrive to a warm reception in Abuja on September 18th


Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, has revealed that the victorious team who represented Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, will be received when they arrive in Abuja. According to him, a reception for the team will hold tomorrow - Sunday 18th September 2016, at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport reception ground by 3pm.

Borno State | Troops recover large stash of ammunition from Boko Haram


The troops of the Nigerian Army have recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from the Boko Haram insurgents in Borno.

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in a statement on Saturday that troop recovered the arms and ammunition at a residential area of Bulabulin Ngarna on Friday morning following a tip-off from members of the Civilian JTF.

Russia partially blocks Free Porn Website, Pornhub


Two of the world’s biggest free pornography websites, Pornhub and Youporn have been blocked in Russia.

The websites were blocked by the Russian state watchdog Roskomnadzor, which is known in English as the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. Among other things, that agency is in charge of monitoring the internet and blocking sites that the Russian government doesn’t want to be used.

A Georgia judge has found Nick Gordon legally responsible for the death of his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

Gordon failed to show up to a civil hearing at the Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta on Friday. This is the second hearing he’s missed. As a result, Gordon was found in contempt of the order and the judgment was made “by default.”

Olamide to release his 6th studio album in December


YBNL Boss, Olamide who has released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, is working on maintaining his figures and keeping his momentum going, by dropping a studio album in 2016.

The new album will be released in December, as songs on the album have already been recorded. It will feature hit song ‘Who you epp’, along with other singles. No official title, artwork, and tracklist has been released.
