#ChangeBeginsWithMe: Nigerians in the Diaspora Group Declares their Support

The Nigerians in the Diaspora Monitoring Group (NDMG) has thrown its weight behind the “Change Begins With Me” campaign saying it offers the last hope of restoring respectability to Nigeria and Nigerians abroad.

An electronic statement issued by NDMG noted the campaign could turn out to be the greatest initiative of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government because of the multiple spin off benefits that its adoption could fetch the country.

There are two statements that President Buhari made in the last few days that I find curious and misleading. I have read them over and over again and I am left with no other conclusion than the fact that we have a President that has no recollection of history.

Secondly, he said that the Igbo people of south-eastern Nigeria that are agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra should “forget it”.
