President Buhari won’t go to war with Niger Delta people – Minister

Is President Muhammadu Buhari contemplating a war in the Niger Delta? No, says Niger Delta Affairs Minister Usani Uguru Usani.

Usani, a pastor, whose responsibility is to bring about a turnaround in the fortune of the oil-rich region, said that contrary to belief in some quarters, the Buhari administration has immense humane disposition towards the Niger/Delta area and the people.

He said that government’s tolerance of the chain of reactions in the region is “a demonstration of the fact that government is willing to bring peace at all reasonable cost.”

What President Buhari is doing with the economy

Let me start by asking an important question: who wants to kill racy introspection?

There is a cacophony of voices telling the Muhammadu Buhari administration to close its eyes to the past; that given the enormous tasks that lie ahead, history and its consequences for our nation should be the least of the government’s preoccupation at this juncture.

I disagree. Let us keep a fiery memory of the past so that we don’t repeat its mistakes. Look back, look ahead. The future must of necessity be built on the foundations of the past.

FBI Releases Hillary Clinton Email Investigation Files

The F.B.I. on Friday released its interview with Hillary Clinton that was conducted in early July, along with a memorandum summarizing the investigation into her use of a private email server that contained classified information.

The document summarizing the Democratic presidential candidate’s more than three-hour interview, known in the F.B.I. as a 302 report, runs only a dozen pages. The memorandum is lengthier, and goes into greater detail about aspects of the case. The materials were presumably provided to James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director, who later decided to not recommend charges in the case.

Goodluck Jonathan: Nigeria’s ‘worst’ President Turned Best Ex-president

Few men in the history of any nation are as privileged and fortunate, as former President Goodluck Jonathan, to have held every important position of authority and power, consecutively for 16 unbroken years. First elected in 1999 as deputy governor, then governor in 2005, later as vice president in 2007 and finally in 2010 as president and commander in chief of the armed forces of the Nigerian federation. Reputed to be amiable, simple and meek; his steady rise to power has been attributed more to divine providence and sheer luck, as his first name implies than any track record of proven competence and capacity at statecraft. Born on 20th Nov, 1957 in the riverine community of Otuoke in Bayelsa State, to Ijaw parents, Goodluck Jonathan is no doubt Nigeria’s greatest personal beneficiary of the 4th republic.

Sadly, the party was never a good opportunity to meet girls. It was usually filled with old guys and their wives.

Have you ever wondered what happens in a town where wireless signals are illegal? (Read Here)

Green Bank, West Virginia, is a tech-savvy teenager’s nightmare. In this tiny town in Pocahontas County population 143, as of the last census wireless signals are illegal. No cell phones. No WiFi. No Bluetooth. No electronic transmitters at all. Recently, a store even had to remove their automatic doors because they caused too much interference.

The remote town is smack in the center of the National Radio Quiet Zone, a 13,000 square mile stretch of land designated by the FCC to protect two government radio telescopes from man-made interference. The rules, though, are most strict in Green Bank’s neck of the woods. So strict, actually, that someone roves the streets listening for verboten wireless signals.
