Arsene Wenger confirms two major signings

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the signing of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez, subject to the finalisation of paperwork.

The Gunners, having defeated Watford 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, will soon be reinforced by the arrival of German defender Mustafi from Valencia and Spanish forward Perez, who will join from Deportivo La Coruna.

NDLEA arrest three suspects after uncovering cocaine hidden inside shoes

Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) detected parcels of cocaine hidden inside the sole of shoes at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos.

The consignment of shoes where the cocaine was discovered was said to have originated from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The owner of the luggage have been arrested while two other suspected drug traffickers that tested positive and excreted narcotic are also being investigated. A white powdery substance found to be cocaine with a total weight of 3.950kgs were seized from the suspects.

Seems the French embassy has decided to make a u-turn on granting visas to the Nigerian scrabble team ahead of the 2016 MSI World Championships in Lille, France. NDLEA orders investigation of pilgrims who were arrested for drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia

Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (retd.) has ordered investigation into the arrest of three Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia in connection with substances suspected to be cocaine. 

Abdallah who expressed disappointment over the unfortunate incident constituted a panel of inquiry headed by the Director of Operations and General Investigation, Mr. Olugbenga Mabo to immediately investigate the incident adding that the Agency will address the situation with every sense of seriousness and urgency. The Agency had also deployed more investigators to all the screening camps nationwide. In a press release yesterday, August 26th, the NDLEA boss said,

India Police arrest Nigerian man with 4.5 KG of Cocaine

36-year-old Nigerian arrested by India Police in Mangaluru, Karnataka with 4.5 KG of Cocaine.

The suspect, Emeka Clinton Obinna, was said to be transporting cocaine from Goa to Bengaluru.

Mangaluru City police said Emeka acted as a mule for drug traders in south India. He would procure drugs and other contraband material from smugglers in Goa and handover the same to traders in Bengaluru.
