“I made a big mistake" - Klopp on tense finish against Arsenal


Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, has accepted responsibility for almost letting Arsenal overturn his side’s 4-1 lead in their first Premiership game at the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool took a 4-1 lead in the second half and the Liverpool manager celebrated Sadio Mane’s fourth goal by giving the debutant a piggyback but Arsenal pulled two goals back to set up a tense finish. Liverpool eventually won the match 3-4.

After the games, the German admitted he got carried away after the three points looked to have been all but secured.

The Abuja-Kaduna train service seems to be raking in alot of funds for the federal government at a critical period when all hands have been on deck to salvage the economy in the face of dipping oil revenue. 

The Abuja-Kaduna train service recorded N5 million income within the first two weeks of operation, Mr Fidet Ikhiria, Acting Managing Director of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), has said.

Reacting to the latest video of some of the girls, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said in a statement on Sunday in Abuja that the government is in touch with those purportedly behind the video.

South Sudan | Clashes Flare In Southwest Of Country's Capital


Fighting flared late on Saturday in south-west of the capital of South Sudan between forces loyal to the President and those backing the opposition.

This is coming after clashes last month raised fears of a slide back into civil war.

Steven Lodu Onseimo, the Information Minister for Yei region where Saturday’s clashes took place, told Reuters that two civilians and a soldier were killed, but said the area was calm on Sunday.

Witnesses had reported heavy gunfire around Yei, which lies on a road linking the capital Juba with neighboring Uganda. The government and opposition each blamed the other side.

Nigeria Army Declares 3 Persons Wanted Over Links With Boko Haram Video


The Nigerian Army has declared three persons wanted in connection with the latest video of the abducted Chibok girls released by Boko Haram on Sunday.

Spokesman for the Army, Colonel Sani Usman, said that the suspects, Ahmed Salkida, (Ambassador) Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil had information on the conditions and the exact location of these girls.

They were abducted on April 14, 2014 from their school’s dormitory in Chibok, while they were preparing for their Secondary School Certificate examinations.
