Godfrey Gaiya | Nigerians deserve good football administration

Godfrey Gaiya, a former Chairman of House of Representatives’ Committee on Sports, on Friday in Abuja said Nigerian football deserved the best in FIFA’s ranking.

He was speaking against the backdrop of FIFA’s August ranking which moved Nigeria from the 70th position in the world to its latest 67th position.

Gaiya said the time was when Nigeria got to the fifth position in FIFA’s rating, saying “nothing stops the country from rotating now among the best 10 teams in the world’’.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, says President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to bequeath a Nigeria that can provide plentiful opportunities to its people.

Odigie-Oyegun said this on Friday in Abuja on the occasion of the 77th birthday party organised in honour by the APC’s workers.

The chairman appealed to Nigerians to support the efforts of the administration in building a solid foundation for a better tomorrow for all Nigerian youths.
