Annemiek van Vleuten, a female Dutch Cyclist at the Rio Olympics is in intensive care after she lost control ten kilometres from the finish line in a race that she was leading and flew head over heels, smacking her head into the concrete gutter by the side of the road. A freak accident that has left her with three cracks on her spinal cord and severely concussed.

Sports Minister Dalung apologizes to the U23 Nigerian #Rio2016 football team

Minister of Sports and Youth Development  Solomon Dalung has apologized to the U23 football team representing Nigeria in the 2016 Olympics and others. The apology was for the initial delay of the football team in Atlanta, after they were stranded before their first Rio 2016 match, due to plane issues.

Sadly only the woman died. The deceased is said to be a student of the department of Languages in the institution.
