Manchester city has signed Schalke forward, Leroy Sane for the sum of £37m on a five-year deal after he completed his medicals at the Etihad on Monday afternoon.

He is Pep Guardiola’s fifth signing this season and he will join new arrivals, Gundogan and Nolito in hoping to have a successful spell at the club.

Argentina appoint Bauza as coach

Argentina has appointed former international Edgardo Bauza as head coach, filling the void left by Gerardo Martino.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) made the announcement on Monday, shortly after Brazilian club Sao Paulo revealed Bauza, 58, had accepted an offer to lead the national team.

Argentina had been seeking a replacement for Martino, who resigned following the country's heartbreaking penalty shoot-out loss to Chile in the Copa America Centenario final in June, with Jorge Sampaoli and Marcelo Bielsa linked.

A 34-year-old Kenyan man allegedly chopped off the hands of his wife of seven years with a large knife because she cannot have children, in what is said to be the most atrocious cases of domestic violence.

28-year-old Jackline Mwende from Kathama Village, Masii in Machakos County, had her hands chopped off at the wrist by her husband, Stephen Ngila Thenge (right) on July 24.

28-year-old Man Docked For Defiling Minor In A Mosque

A 28-year-old man, Modiu Diallo, who allegedly defiled a 7-year-old girl in a mosque was on Monday arraigned in a Surulere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

The accused with no fixed address is facing a three-count charge bordering on r*pe.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Anthonia Osayande, told the court that the accused committed the offence at about 6:00a.m., on July 13, at Iponri Central Mosque, Surulere, Lagos.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘C’, Owerri recently seized a total of 24,273 cartons of imported frozen poultry products, valued at N256,264,200. In a press statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Unit, Onuigbo Ifeoma, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Haruna Mamudu said that the items which were cleverly and deceitfully concealed in a Scania truck with an inscription ‘DHL’ were seized on the Benin axis in Edo State. Three suspects were also arrested in connection with the illegal business.
