Actress Oge Okoye came under fire for her revealing outfit to Church


Nigerian Actress, Oge Okoye took to her social media page to share a photo of her church outfit and what she got from her fans isn't what she expected.

Oge who wore a rather cleavage exposing attire was called out on the choice of attire as fans questioned if she was aiming to seduce the Pastor with her outfit.

Is this dress too revealing?

The Niger Delta Avengers militant group responsible for the vandalisation of oil installations in the Niger Delta region and more recently, an attack on a pipeline in Ogun state have struck again.

In a recent statement by the militants, the group claimed to have at 11:30pm on Sunday night struck another facility belonging to the NNPC in line with its promise to cripple the nations oil production.

Kenya Deports Koffi Olomide for assaulting his Female Dancer


Kenyan authorities have expelled Congolese singer Koffi Olomide, a day after he was arrested for kicking one of his female dancers, his lawyer said Saturday.
"I can confirm to you that my client Koffi Olomide was expelled this morning and I have just spoken to him," Olomide's Kenyan lawyer George Wajakoyah said, adding he had landed back in Kinshasa.
The rumba singer, hugely popular across Africa, had Friday been caught on camera kicking out violently at a dancer in full view of two Kenyan policemen as he arrived at Nairobi's international airport.

Verizon to acquire Yahoo for $5bn


Verizon is set to buy Email and Internet giant Yahoo for $5bn Recode reports. The deal is said to be already complete with just teensy details left to be sorted before an announcement is made.

The move  on that is a little surprising, but continues with Verizon’s trend of being a company that is more than just a carrier.

Last year it purchased AOL for $4.4bn and now it has taken on Yahoo. Yahoo is not as expensive as the likes of Whatsapp or Linkedln which were sold for around 4 times the price of Yahoo.

Not less than nine members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly are set to be prosecuted by the Federal government for alleged forgery of their academic results. 

According to reports by Punch, the decision was based on an intensive investigation by Nigeria’s secret police, DSS, who had carried out the investigation into the credentials submitted by the politicians to the Independent National Electoral Commission during the last general elections.

Police nab Nigerian man for selling fake "cure for AIDS"


A man identified as Uzoma Eleazar was arrested in India, alongside three others after attempting to sell the ‘cure for AIDS’ in an online scam. 

According to reports, Uzoma tried to sell seeds which turned out to be Garcinia Kola (bitter kola), to one Indian identified as Anil Mathur, for almost N10million. 

According to Mathur, he met Uzoma on social media and formed a friendship with him. Uzoma later led him to believe he had some special seeds which were grown only in Nigeria, with benefits including a cure for cough and AIDS. Uzoma also led him to believe there was lots of profit to be made from selling the cure for AIDS.

Unknown Gunmen kidnapped RCCG Pastor during service in Lagos


Gunmen have whisked away a pastor with Redeemed Christian Church of God at Santos bus stop in the Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Sunday, July 24. 

According to reports, the pastor, simply identified as Bajomo was abducted around 7am while preparing for a workers’ meeting. 

A witness,  identified as Esther, said the gunmen wore attractive clothes as if they had come for the church service.

Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on Sunday killed two Boko Haram terrorists during its clearance operation in Musafanari, Borno State.

Disclosing this in a statement, the Army’s acting spokesperson, Col Sani Usman said the terrorists were gunned down while trying to “cross into Sambisa forest from Komala and Musafanari axis” of the state.

Imo State: INEC declares Imo North rerun election inconclusive


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the result of Imo North Senatorial District rerun election, conducted on Saturday, July 23, inconclusive.

Also declared inconclusive were the results of Oru East and Isiala Mbano State Constituencies following reported cases of shootings, which characterised the exercise in some communities in the two affected areas.

The shootings were reported at Okata and Amiri in Oru East, while skirmishes and snatching of ballot boxes characterised the election in some communities in Isiala Mbano area.

RRS apprehend two armed robbers, recovers gun and loots (PHOTOS)


The operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two armed robbers in two separate incidences in Ikotun and Olodi-Apapa, just as it recovered guns, jewellery, laptop and 18 mobiles phones from the robbers.

The robbers identified as Bashir Wasiu, 22, from Oyo State and Tunde Adedeji, 23, from Abeokuta, Ogun State were arrested in Olodi-Apapa around 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday, 19 July 2016, and Ikotun on Monday, 18, July 2016 around 4:33 a.m. respectively. 

Bashir had on early Tuesday morning in the company of his two other members, waylaid Viho Segun at his residence’s car park, snatching his documents, phones and N15,000 from him at gunpoint before leading him to his flat intending to collect more valuables from his family.

Austin Ewosa,32,  the head of the Nigerian Black Axe in Italy, a criminal organisation born as a sort of student fraternity in the 1970s at the University of Benin City, was among the three Nigerians sentenced to prison on Friday, July 22.
His street name is John Bull and he was arrested in September 2014, in a local bar in Ballarò. He was accused of assault, intimidation, criminal association, attempted murder and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
