The posting in Arabic appeared on an encrypted conversation along with ads for kittens, weapons and tactical gear. It was shared by an activist with the minority Yazidi community, whose women and children are being held as sex slaves by ISIL.
While the extremist group is losing territory in its self-styled caliphate, it is tightening its grip on an estimated 3,000 women and girls held as sex slaves.

The Air Component of Operation Lafiya Dole recorded another major success yesterday July 7th in its air campaign against the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) as 2 x F-7Ni fighter aircraft struck a terrorists’ location at Northern Borno. The location lies between Tumbum Rego and Malkonory and is about 25km from Kangarwa where own surface forces are currently harboured.
The location, as can be seen from the enclosed footage, harbors Boko Haram Terrorist makeshift structures and about 4-6 clusters of solar panels which are used by the Terrorists to power communications equipment and for lighting.

The Police patrolman who shot and killed Philando Castile during a traffic stop has been identified as Jeronimo Yanez (Left). The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) released a statement Thursday evening saying Yanez and another cop, Officer Joseph Kauser, were involved in the Wednesday shooting.
Shinkafi buried in Sokoto
The late Marafan Sokoto, Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi, who died in a London Hospital on Thursday had been buried on Friday at the Hubbaren Shehu in Sokoto.
Burial prayer was held after the Friday prayer at the Sultan Bello Mosque, adjacent the Sultan Palace in Sokoto.
The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Alhaji Usman Akwarra.
The Federal Government’s delegation to the burial was led by the Minister of Interior, Retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau.
Man who dares to beat his Father and two policemen arraign before Magistrate Court
For allegedly daring to beat his father and the two policemen who came to arrest him, a 27-year-old man, Tobi Majoyegbe, was on Friday arraigned in Lagos.Also charged along with him is his friend, Taiwo Tayo, an estate agent.
They are facing 10 counts bordering on assault, stealing and conspiracy at an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.
Majoyegbe, who claimed to be a journalist, and his friend, Tayo, live at 8, Gabi Crescent, Meiran, a suburb of Lagos, on the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
NLC declares indefinite strike in Nasarawa over 50% Salary Cut
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Nassarawa State Chapter on Friday declared an indefinite strike in the state, over the state government’s decision to cut civil servants’ salaries by half.
The state chairman of the NLC, Comrade Abdullahi Adeka made the disclosure while addressing reporters at the Labour House in Lafia, the state capital.
Recall that the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura had maintained that his government will cut down the salaries of its workers.
Governor of Osun says he has no plans to retrench workers
Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Friday said the ongoing restructuring and reforms in all the state-owned tertiary institutions were not aimed at retrenching workers as being speculated.
Aregbesola said this at the inauguration of an N140 million e-Library and N34.4 million ultra-modern lecture hall at the state College of Education, Ila-Orangun.
The governor, who described the speculation as baseless, said the idea behind the restructuring exercise was not to witch-hunt but to improve the quality of lecturers.
He said his administration would not do anything that would inflict pains on workers and residents of the state.
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources says they will resolve oil workers’ issues
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe kachikwu, has assured that all issues raised by oil workers’ unions would be addressed to ensure sanity in the industry.
Kachikwu gave the assurance while fielding questions from newsmen on Friday in Abuja.
The unions are Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).

$15billion Arms Deal: Dasuki says He followed the instructions of Ex-President GEJ in disbursing funds
Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki has said he was only obeying the directive of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the disbursement of funds from his office.
According to The Nation, Dasuki, who is standing trial for the alleged misappropriation of $15bn arms procurement fund, said this to some of his associates who recently visited him in detention.
"Based on the service rules in the security circle, I owe it a duty to obey the President and Commander-In-Chief. Ex-President Jonathan approved all the expenses incurred by Office of the National Security Adviser ONSA. I am ready to prove in court how we complied with the directive of the ex-President.”
