Say What! Strange Birds Stealing Women's Underwear At Popular Beaches

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in Scotland was called for help after a group of birds were seen on the beach and flying away with women’s underwear.

The latest incidents of underwear theft occurred in Angus Glens, where birds have a history of stealing unsuspecting swimmers’ underwear.

Gamekeeper Dave Clement was amused to find that a pair of red underpants, pants and socks was stolen from a nearby swimming spot.

Operatives of Lagos State Task Force arrest renowned Awawa Gang Kingpin

A suspected member of the notorious Awawa gang, 30-year-old Jimoh Sanni, alias Last Born, who specialises in harassing and raping young girls, has been arrested by operatives of Lagos State Task Force alongside 14 others after they received intelligence report on the activities of the notorious gang. The operation that got the gang apprehended took place at midnight and was led by SP Olayinka Egbeyemi.Sanni, after his arrest, confessed that he has raped over five girls within the Dopemu area of Agege, Lagos State.

US based Nigerian footballer, Fikayo Idowu drowns in lake (PHOTOs)

US based footballer, Fikayo Idowu, 19, who plays as a defender for the Ohio State football club, drowned in a central Ohio lake on Friday June 24th. Idowu had gone to the Apple Valley lake to swim with his team mates when the sad incident occurred. A dive team searched for him for 45 minutes and eventually recovered his body from the lake. He was rushed to the Columbus hospital where he was certified dead

His coach John Bluem said Idowu was an “unbelievably good human being.”

Kidnapped expatriates from Calabar finally regain freedom

The 7 expatriate contractors, including three Australians and a South African, have been released unharmed 4 days after they were kidnapped by gunmen in Calabar, Cross River State, Reuters reports

The Cross River State Security Adviser SSA, Mr Jude Ngaji, who confirmed the report told CrossRiverWatch that the expatriates were released early today (Sunday) morning.

Ngaji debunked claims that ransom was paid for their release. He also disclosed that all the foreigners were released unhurt without any injury while the two Nigerians sustained minor injuries possibly from torture by the kidnappers.

Outspoken Northern politician, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, has asked President Muhamadu Buhari to treat the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, as terrorists and mete out appropriate military action against it as it is doing to Boko Haram insurgents in the north. 

Mohammed, who was a member of the last National Conference, told Vanguard in an interview on Sunday that it was wrong for the Buhari administration to try to appease the Niger Delta militants while still confronting a similar terrorist group in another part of the country.
