#RUSSIA2018: Nigeria draws against Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria for World cup spot


The draw for the third round of African Zone qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup took place today in Cairo, Egypt. Nigeria has been placed against Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria.

Peter Zoutenbier, Jack Couranz and Mark Gabbedy are the three Australians kidnapped in Calabar, their families have confirmed. The fourth Mr Coot managed to escape.

Mark Gabbedy, who is understood to originally be from Tasmania but had worked in Western Australia. He had been working in Nigeria for the past 15 months as a project manager. Engineer Mr Couranz from Perth studied at Curtin University and had been with Macmahon since 2012.

Ekiti Civil Servants suspend strike (See Documents)

Civil servants in Ekiti State have suspended their four-week-old strike, following the signing of an agreement by the state government with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Joint Negotiating Council (JNC), today June 24.

Both sides agreed that no staff and representative of any union should be punished or victimized by a result if the strike. The JNC Chairman, Comrade Oladipo Johnson also said the suspension of the strike would allow for further consultations and expressed thanks to workers for their support during the strike.

Man arrested for impersonating to be a police officer, then enters mosque to yell ‘Jesus is Lord’


A man was arrested after he scared a group of Muslims by storming their mosque. The man of Kentucky, burst into the mosque during services and started yelling about Jesus.

37-year-old Luke Michael Roberts of Elsmere, was charged with theft, impersonating a police officer, trespassing and disrupting a lawful meeting after police said he entered the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati and interrupted prayer services.

Police said that Roberts entered the mosque in West Chester Township, Ohio, around 11:00 p.m., and shouted “Jesus is Lord,” while Muslims were praying.

A groom surprised his bride and wedding party guests by showing up as a clown. However, he was not alone. The groom asked his co-workers to join him in dressing like clowns and they agreed.

The groom, William Rojas Tojar of Peru, works as a street performer who goes by the name of “Chupetin.”

He decided to wear his work gear when he finally tied the knot with his partner of ten years, Sonia de la Cruz Chocca.

Mom reveals she feel a better mom having sex outside marriage


A mother claims that she is a better mother now that she has sex outside her marriage with the permission of her children. 

The mother, who was identified as Gracie of California, said that she and her husband Hank, told her children about their open marriage.

Gracie said that they told their two young children that she and her husband will be having “special friends.” 

Her daughter Tallulah, who was just 10 years old when she learned of the open marriage, said that she was scared at first, but her mother assured her that she will only bring home men who will treat her well, and the child agreed.

A father was arrested on a charge of rape after being accused of raping his own daughter and allowing other men to have sex with her while he watched them, according to police in Australia.

Now, the 42-year-old father, who was not identified, has been sentenced to serve 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to 61 child abuse offenses.

According to the police investigation, the father of Sydney, raped and abused his daughter since she was 11 years old.

Nike has announced that it is recalling the Wimbledon dresses that are worn by the female tennis players as they kept lifting up and revealing the women’s underwear.

The recall was announced after the company has received many complaints from players regarding the dresses flying above the waist while playing tennis.

The layers also revealed that the had difficulties focusing on the game as they were busy holding their short dresses down.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says the option of a second independence referendum is on the table.

According to ITV Sturgeon said she will take "all possible steps and explore all options" to secure Scotland's continuing place in the EU.

She said it is "democratically unacceptable" that Scotland would be taken out of the EU "against its will".

Malawians Protest the killing of Albino ... Wants death penalty for Perpetrators


Activists, students and other protesters joined Malawi’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Bon Kalindo in the streets of the capital, Lilongwe on Thursday, June 23 to demonstrate against albino killings.

The legislator, human rights activists and other concerned citizens were protesting against continued abductions and killings of people with people with albinism.

The protests came after at least 19 albinos had been killed in Malawi since 2014.

The legislator, who was a popular stage and TV comedian accused some unnamed politicians of being part of the albino hunters’ syndicate, hence their failure to act decisively.

Kalindo, announced that he would parade naked but during the march, he simply wore a small red short, a red vest, a red scarf and red cap.

Sheriff Founded Boko Haram – Sen Ahmed Makarfi


The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Caretaker Committee, Sen Ahmed Makarfi has accused the factional leader of the Party, Sen Ali Modu Sheriff of creating a terrorist group, Boko Haram that has killed thousands of people in the North Eastern part of the country.

Sheriff on Thursday had claimed that Makarfi deployed hired Fulani herdsmen to chase out his team from the party’s National Secretariat.
“The herdsmen were brought to the secretariat by the caretaker committee chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi.
“We thank God, the national secretary and the national auditor narrowly escaped,” Sheriff had said.

"Paying our allowances will stop youths from violence" - Ex-Niger Delta militants


Former militants under the umbrella of National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A, on Friday, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to clear up all outstanding allowances owned the former agitators by the Federal Government.

Disclosing in a statement in Abuja, the President of the group, Israel Akpodoro stressed that the payment of allowance will go a long way in dissuading youths from taking up violence and vandalism.

Imo State: Amass tension as Soldiers murder man over N300k


There is palpable tension in an oil-rich community in the Ohaji/Egbema Council Area of Imo State after a young man was brutally murdered by some soldiers attached to the oil facilities in the Etekwuru Autonomous community, over the sum of N300,000, allegedly misappropriated by the deceased.

Reports have it that the young man, a 26-year-old man, Declan Obi, was reported to the soldiers by his boss, Evans Njemanze, over the missing money after he was suspected to have stolen the money, being proceeds from the sales for the day.
