In a latest chat with Ellen Rapper Nicki Minaj opened up about her relationship with Meek Mill. She made it clear that the two aren’t engaged, but she also addressed the multiple rings she received Meek who she referred to as ‘this boy that likes me.’
“We’re still figuring each other out. And in fact, I don’t even want to say I’m in a relationship anymore because I think when people hear that, they go to the mean place,” said Nicki.
Nicki also compared how she’s handling her relationship this time around compared to how she treated her relationship with Safaree in the media.

Janet Jackson not making refunds to fans for her postponed tour


We brought you report earlier this week that Janet Jackson announced that she’s ‘postponing’ the rest of her Unbreakable World tour because she’s suddenly starting a family, but never really said when she’s planning to resume.

Literally you would expect her to make a refund to those who already spend their money in buying the tickets has there is no certain reschedule dates for the next tour.

According to TMZ, several of the venues where Janet was supposed to play haven’t gotten official word that the tour’s been called off…so no refunds are being issued.

New Research shows that White Youth are More Likely to Abuse Hard Drugs Than Black Youth


A new report on drugs have vindicate black youth of the fact that they are more likely to use hard drugs than the white folks, thanks to a recent study published in the American Journal of Public Health.

The study finds that dependence on “hard drugs” is less common among Black youth than it is with White youth despite what the media’s led us to believe all these years.

According to the study’s findings recently published in the American Journal of Public Health, abuse and dependence on “hard drugs” (opiates, amphetamine, etc.) are “less common among delinquent African American youth than those who are non-Hispanic white.”

Unbelievable pensions paid to Ex Governors and some are still occupying Government Seats


Abuja and Lagos State governments are spending billions of naira in pension payments to their former governors who are also drawing salaries from public purse as serving senators and ministers, Daily Trust reports.

There are 21 former governors and deputies in the Senate and President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.

The Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) approves payment of 300 percent basic salary as severance allowances for political office holders on leaving office.

However, various state assemblies had approved a wide range of entitlements for ex-governors and their deputies.

Nigerian Army reveals its first locally made bomb detonator


The Nigerian Army on Thursday unveiled Nigeria’s first locally made explosive detonator, known as Rechargeable Blasting Device. The device is a potable electrical system adaptable to wet and dry conditions.

According to Breaking Times, the unveiling and testing of the device was part of the programme of the 2016 Chief of Army Staff First Quarter Conference, held in Abuja.

Maj.-Gen. Gabriel Ode, the Deputy Commandant of the National Defence College and brain behind the innovation said the device was a product of research by the Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers.

In his explanation shortly before the testing of the device, Ode said the device could be used for demolition of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and unexploded bombs.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday met behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa. He arrived a few minutes after Buhari received the details of the 2016 Budget from the National Assembly, as he had demanded before he could sign the document into law.‎

In a brief chat with State House correspondents, the former president denied that during his tenure, he signed the Budgets without waiting for details, as claimed by the House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Appropriation, Abdulmumuni Jibrin. When he emerged from the meeting with Buhari, the former president spoke briefly with the journalists, although he did not give details of his discussions with the president. President Buhari Holds Emergency FEC Meeting


Pressing national issues, notably the worrisome state of the economy, lin­gering fuel crisis, epilep­tic power supply and the missing Chibok girls will dominate deliberations at today’s emergency Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting called by President Mu­hammadu Buhari.

The meeting, which will be at­tended by all the 36 ministers and other critical stakeholders, will hold at the State House, Abuja.

Presidency sources said that the participants will also ap­praise the threats by the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to embark on a nationwide warning strike and protest against the continued hardships faced by Nigerians un­der the Buhari administration.

Ahead of the meeting, Buhari on Thursday appealed to the NARD not to resort to the planned strike, whilst assuring the members that he would implement agreements reached with them by previous governments.

PHOTOs: Prostitutes protest against law that says "it's illegal to pay for sex in France"


Prostitutes in France marched to the front National Assembly building in Paris, France to protest after a new law was passed that penalizes the patronage of prostitutes.The French parliament on Wednesday passed a law that now makes it illegal to pay for sex in France making them the 5th European country (after Sweden, Norway, Iceland and the U.K) in the world to criminalize prostitution.

Under the new law, pimping and brothels remain illegal, while it is legal to offer your body for sale but illegal for someone to buy it.

Offenders may be fined up to €3,750 (about $4,300) and required to attend classes about the conditions of sex workers.

David Mark denial owning any offshore company as reported by Panama Leaks


Former Senate President David Mark, has released a statement, denying claims in the Panama report that he owned eight offshore companies in British Virgin Island. Premiumtimes on Tuesday April 5th, reported that an investigation carried out by them and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), showed that the former senate president was the owner of eight offshore companies in the Island. In his response, Mark in denying the claim, said some political elements were out to tarnish his image.

Nigeria slip to 67th position in new FIFA World Ranking




The Super Eagles are now 67th in the world with 532 points in the latest rankings of National teams for April released by the World's football governing body, FIFA. They were 62nd in the previous ranking for March, but have now dropped five places to 67th. In Africa, the Eagles occupy the 14th position behind the likes of Ghana, Algeria, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo Democratic Republic and Senegal, with Algeria being the highest ranked African team in the world having moved from 37th to 33rd in the world. 

In the 34th position is reigning African champions Cote d'Ivoire who moved two places. Meanwhile, Argentina are now the number one ranked team in the world after moving from number two while Belgium are now number two.

President Putin distance himself from Panama Papers Leaks


Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has denied “any element of corruption” over the Panama Papers leaks.

His disclaimer followed the leak of millions of documents from a Panama based law firm – Mossack Fonseca, showing how it helped some clients evade tax and avoid sanctions.

Nigerian Navy Postpones 2016 Batch 25 Recruitment Exercise


The Nigerian Navy Wednesday announced the postponement of the recruitment exercise for the 2016 batch 25 trainees initially slated to hold nationwide from Saturday 9th April.

VANGUARD reports that the decision to postpone the exercise may not be unconnected with the high number of applicants, which was put at 300,000 for 3,000 available slots.

A statement from the Nigerian Navy Headquarters on the postponement, signed by the Director of Naval Information, Commodore Christian Ezekobe said, “The Aptitude Test for applicants of the 2016 Nigerian Navy Recruitment Exercise initially scheduled to hold nationwide on Saturday 9 April 2016 has been postponed.

Electricity Tariff Hike: NLC to declare National warning strike


The Nigeria Labour Congress says it will declare a one-day national warning strike over the refusal of the Federal Government to reduce the electricity tariff.

NLC President Ayuba Wabba said this while addressing newsmen during the Central Working Committee meeting of the congress on Wednesday in Abuja.

On January 29, the NLC led the picketing of electricity distribution companies (DISCOs) nationwide, the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the National Assembly.

The action, aimed at getting the Federal Government to reverse the 45 per cent tariff hike did not yield the desired result.
