President Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan to meet over #DasukiGate


President Muhammadu Buhari and his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, may soon meet over the mind- boggling revelations from the arms cash probe, The Nation is reporting today.

Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki, who is standing trial for alleged misapplication and fraudulent disbursement of over N31b meant for purchase of arms, has alleged in his statement to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that all his disbursements were approved by the ex-President.

EFCC: Dasuki acquired houses overseas with funds meant to fight Boko Haram #ArmsGate


New updates on the current #ArmsDeal prob suggest that Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd) diverted funds meant for the purchase of weapons to fight the Boko Haram insurgency, to acquire choice property in London and Dubai, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said in a counter affidavit filed against Dasuki’s bail application on Tuesday.

According to The Nation, the federal government’s prosecution team warned against granting bail to Dasuki on the grounds that he could be attacked by relatives of ill-equipped soldiers who died in the anti-terror war as a result of Dasuki’s alleged diversion of funds meant for the purchase of arms and ammunition for the military.

Man faces criminal charges after blocking highway to propose to his girlfriend


A man who stopped traffic on one of Houston's busiest highways to propose to his girlfriend may not get the happy ending he was hoping for.

Houston Police Department spokeswoman Jodi Silva confirmed 24-year-old Vidal Valladares will be charged with obstruction of highway, which is a Class B misdemeanor.

Silva said the charge is now winding its way through the Harris County court system. He will have the option of turning himself in, filling out the paperwork and immediately getting bonded out, she said.

Senior Iraqi Shiite Cleric brand President Buhari Government as "ISIS"


Senior Iraqi Shiite cleric and the Leader of the Sadrist Movement, Moqtada al-Sadr criticized on Monday strongly the Nigerian security authorities attack on the house of a Nigerian Shiite cleric, Ibrahim al-Zakzaky as called for his followers to go out in protest demonstrations on the incident next Friday.

Sadr said in a statement posted on his official website, that “what happened today from terrorism and state terrorism in Nigeria is a serious and dangerous,” adding that “the government turned to ISIS terrorism at is the first approach and the way to kill Shiites without the guilt. “

Ciara M. Steffen, 25-year-old of New York, was arrested on child endangerment and prostitution charges on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 after she brought her 14-month old daughter along to perform sexual act with the ‘client’.

Nigeria has been accused of killing hundreds of Shia Muslims


Police have killed at least three Shia Muslim protesters after opening fire in the northern city of Kaduna, the spokesman for the religious minority in Nigeria said, as activists accused soldiers of having killed hundreds in "a massacre" in a nearby town in recent days.

But police spokesman Zubairu Abdullahi denied any killings and said Shia protesters tried to attack a police station on Tuesday.

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez said he will not leave the club in the January transfer window, but did not rule out a move at the end of the season.

Mahrez has been in stunning form for Leicester this season, with his 11 goals and six assists helping the club to top spot in the Premier League. 

The Algeria international's performances this term have reportedly attracted the interest of several big clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, but he plans to see out the season at the King Power Stadium.

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state has criticised President Buhari over his inability to create the three million jobs he promised Nigerians during his campaign.

He also said that Buhari should resign if he has no clue as to how to solve Nigeria’s economic problems.

According to Punch Newspapers, Fayose said “This is not the change Nigerians voted for. President Buhari must fulfill all his electoral promises to the people. Enough of these flimsy excuses.”

Iranians stage protest outside Nigerian embassy over Shiite attack (PHOTO)


This morning some Iranians staged a peaceful protest outside the Nigerian embassy in Tehran, the Iranian capital to register their displeasure over the Army- Shiite group clash that occurred in Zaria, Kaduna state on Saturday December 12th. Meanwhile the Iranian government yesterday summoned the Nigerian Ambassador to Iran, Ambassador Tukur Mani to receive Iran's protest over the deadly attacks on Shiite group.

Using the powers of science, Neave found three skulls from Israeli archaeological sites and used computerized tomography to construct the best shape for Jesus's face. From his findings, Neave created a black Jesus, with a much broader nose and a new hairdo. This photo has since gone viral.

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momoh Jimoh was this afternoon impeached by his colleagues. His impeachment was endorsed by 17 of the 25-member House. He was accused of financial recklessness and misconduct.

France and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been suspended indefinitely from the French national team over the sex tape blackmail case he is currently involved in with team mate Mathieu Valbuena. The president of the national football federation (FFF), Le Graet said today that Benzema was put under formal investigation by a French judge last month in connection with an alleged attempt to blackmail international team mate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex video.

Nigerian Army arrests Boko Haram Chief cameramen and 2 others (PHOTO)


Military officers of 28 Task Force Brigade yesterday December 4th, arrested another Boko Haram terrorist suspect, Abdullahi Abubakar Sadiq, believed to be the terrorists Chief Cameraman and suspect number 58 on the list of 100 suspected Boko Haram terrorists wanted list. He was arrested at Uba town, Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. The troops also arrested two other suspected Boko Haram terrorists along with two other terrorists at at Rumirgo and Kilakasa.

"This is to inform the general public that the Boko Haram terrorist group has continued to establish and operate sleeper cells whose (sole) mandates are to conduct surveillance and carry out subsequent attacks in the FCT. This disclosure has become necessary following the arrests of the sect’s members who migrated from various conflict theaters in the North East to the FCT in order to enable them capitalize on the excitement of the yuletide season to launch attacks in the city.

For instance, on October 29th, 2015, the duo of Muhammed Hassan Idris (a Nigerien) and Baba Abdul Maina were arrested at Panteka area of Apo, Abuja. This was followed by the arrest of Sanni Mohammed (aka Kakase) and Ahmed Umaru (aka Mallam; Mallam Hamdi Garne; Ahmed Daubi) in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Sanni, who hails from Potiskum, Yobe State, fled the area following his involvement in coordinated suicide attacks in Yobe, Plateau, Kano and Kaduna States.
