US provides $10.5m donation for IDPs in North East Nigeria (PHOTO)

The United States government has provided a sum of $10.5 million donation for the rehabilitation of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Northeast Nigeria. The grant was announced in a statement released by the USAID today June 11th.

Rapper Nicki Minaj has accused her former boyfriend Safaree of cheating on her by replying his diss song targeting on her.

She took to her twitter page to share her though and then hit out at Safaree Samuels - who she split from last year after 12 years together - after he teased a new song, 'Love The Most', which appeared to lash out at her, and says he will be ''punished'' for his conduct in their relationship.

She made the posts on Twitter which have now been deleted:

The Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has approved the termination of the appointment of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Bashiru Okesina.

Boko Haram kill 15 in fresh attack in Borno community

In a fresh attack, Boko Haram sects has reportedly killed 15 persons in a remote community in Borno State, residents say.

The insurgents invaded Huyum, in the Askira-Uba area of the state on Monday, June 8, 2015, according to AFP.

Residents of the town are also said to have lost about 500 homes in the attack.

Premier League Clubs have announce players to be release

The likes of Ron Vlaar, Glen Johnson and Micah Richards are among those who look set to leave their clubs after the Premier League released lists were revealed on Wednesday.

The 20 clubs who competed in the top flight last term have all confirmed their squads for next season, although 'free transfer' players are still able to renew deals prior to their expiration on June 30.

Vlaar has been offered a new deal at Aston Villa, but has previously hinted at a desire to move on, while Johnson and Richards will see their contracts with Liverpool and Manchester City expire later this month.

Psychiatrist says 20% of Nigerians prone to mental disorder

In a recent interview with News Agency of Nigeria, A Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Femi Olugbile, on Wednesday said  disclose that 20 per cent of Nigerians are prone to mental disorder. Dr Olugbile was a former Chief Medical Director, Lagos State University Teaching Hospial, Ikeja.

“At least 20 per cent of the population will at some time in their lives experience at least one episode of mental disorder,” he said.

According to him, it can also be due to high rate of poverty, lack of social welfare and high rate of endemic infectious diseases.

ISIS captures 88 Eritrean Christians in Libya

A U.S. defense official confirmed Monday that the ISIS terror group had kidnapped about 88 Eritrean Christians from a people-smugglers' caravan in Libya last week.

The defense official confirmed initial reports of the mass kidnapping after seeing a recent intelligence report. The convoy was ambushed by militants south of Tripoli before dawn this past Wednesday morning.

Meron Estafanos, the co-founder of the Stockholm-based International Commission on Eritrean Refugees, said that the group of migrants included "about 12 Eritrean Muslims and some Egyptians. They put them in another truck and they put 12 Eritrean women Christians in a smaller pick-up".
