Muslim Girl banned from class because her long skirt made her too religious

A 15-year-old Muslim student has been banned from attending class at a school in northeastern France after it was ruled that her black maxi skirt was 'too religious'.

According to UK Mail Online, the student, identified only as Sarah, was stopped from going to class earlier this month by the head teacher who reportedly felt the full-length skirt 'conspicuously' showed religious affiliation.

The school argues that the skirt fell foul of France's strict secularity laws governing state schools, which bans students from wearing hijabs, kippahs or large Christian crosses.

Boko Haram ambushed and killed 21 persons at Bultaram Village

21 persons are feared dead after suspected Boko Haram members ambushed them in Bultaram village in Gujba Local government area of Yobe state on Monday April 27th. Baba Nuhu, an official of the local government where the men were killed, said the victims, all male, had gone to their deserted village to see if they could collect some food when they were ambushed and shot dead by the sect members. According to AFP, the victims and their families had taken refuge in Damaturu the Yobe state capital after the sect members attacked their village some months back

"The men, 21 of them, were stopped at Bultaram (village) by gunmen we believe are Boko Haram who shot them dead," said Baba Nuhu

A Google executive and self-described adventurer was among 10 people killed at a Mount Everest base camp in an avalanche triggered by a major Nepal earthquake Saturday, the company and his family said.

Dan Fredinburg was killed in the avalanche that buried parts of the base camp where hundreds of mountaineers were gathered for the start of the climbing season.
