Mertesacker wants his teammate at Arsenal to manage Wembley pressure

Arsenal centre-back Per Mertesacker said he is hoping for a less stressful trip to Wembley on Saturday, in comparison to some of the London club's recent visits.

The Emirates Stadium outfit broke their trophy drought in the FA Cup last season, winning thrilling contests over Wigan (semi-finals) and Hull City (final) to end a barren nine-year period.

Mertesacker reflected on their thrilling cup ties - in which the German defender had to score an equaliser in the semi - ahead of their FA Cup semi-final against Reading.

Nigerian military will liberate Sambisa forest before Buhari takes power - NSA

The Nigerian military will reclaim the expansive Sambisa forest reserve which has become a notorious Boko Haram stronghold, before President Goodluck Jonathan hands over power in less than two months, National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki said Tuesday.

Mr. Jonathan will on May 29 surrender power after losing the March 28 presidential election to Muhammadu Buhari.

After widespread criticisms over its inability to contain Boko Haram, the Nigerian military in the last few months has retaken several territories occupied by the group, dislodging the militants from key towns like Baga, Bama and Gwoza.

The apex court, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, upheld Fayose’s victory in the June 2014 governorship elections. The court also dismissed the petition brought against the governor by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fayose defeated APC candidate and then governor, Kayode Fayemi at the polls.
