Serving Corps members pull out of Saturday's Polls

This is not only in Delta State but some report that we have gather around with some Serving Corp Members in Niger State also , so withdrawn from the Saturday Gubernatorial Election saying they have not been paid and some also said their training allowance has not been provided why others cited that INEC has decided to only pay them the sum of 13,000naira for the Presidential Election which they deem to small.

According to punch report from Delta State, some youth corps members, who served as INEC ad-hoc staff in Delta State during the March 28 presidential and the National Assembly elections, have pulled of Saturday’s governorship and state House of Assembly election citing threat to life.

Richard Henyekane, South Africa footballer dies in car crash (Details)

South African football has lost a ace footballer. Richard Henyekane died in the early hours of Tuesday April 7th.

Daily Sun reports that Henyekane was travelling from a party in Qwa-Qwa at about 1am in a VW Cross Polo with friends and a teammate in two separate cars when he met his sudden death.

The two cars stopped at the side of the road and the passengers got out for a pee and, according to the paper, Henyekane got back into the car but his team member at Ea Lla Koto, Bokang Hlone, said he would rather go in the other car.

President Jonathan's trusted aides Oronto Douglas passed away this morning. The Special adviser to President Jonathan on Research, Documentation and Strategy and Niger-Delta environmental activist, died in the early hours of today April 9th at about 5am at the State House hospital where he had been receiving treatment for a cancer related illness.

Two person fear dead and others injured in PDP, LP clash

With just few days remaining before the gubernatorial election, election violence has started in some part of the country. In Ebonyi State punchng gathers that two persons were on Wednesday feared dead following a clash between supporters of Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party in Amagu Ikwo community in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The clash also left several others injured in Amagu Ikwo, which is the home town of Governor Martin Elechi.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the killing of one person to our correspondent.

Lagos APC Apologises To Igbos Over Oba Akiolu’s Threat

Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday tendered an apology to Igbos in the state over an inflammatory statement by the Oba of Lagos HRM Rilwan Akiolu who threatened that Igbos who vote against his candidate in the April 11 governorship election will die in the lagoon.

The state APC Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, in a statement expressed the party’s sincere apology to Ndigbo and pleaded with them to bury the hatchet in the interest of peace and harmony.

“No human being is above mistakes. People can make mistakes and correct it thereafter. The Oba of Lagos can make a mistake and we believe that the statement credited to him was a mistake. If to err is human, we plead with Ndigbo to let the sleeping dog lie.

Footballer do the Ronaldo celebration after scoring a beautiful goal (Watch Video)

Lol, that was an incredible goal anyway but it just got to show he is a CR7 big fan. Thai footballer Theeraton Bunmathan scored a wondergoal directly from a corner and then celebrated it in style, doing the Ronaldo sack celebration. 

Bunmathan curled a beautiful set-piece which flew into the unmarked far corner of the goal, over the goalkeeper. Following the goal, the midfielder celebrated with the crowd, and finished it up by celebrating the way Ronaldo does, jumping with style and presenting himself.

Stories like this makes me wonder if actually there is a different between a white man and a black man apart from his skin color. The number of cases of a white man shooting down a black man in the US is really alarming. But thank God there is an evidence on this case otherwise there would be no case on this ...

According to the report on this story a video has emerge of a white police officer in North Charleston, South Carolina who shot a fleeing unarmed black man five times in the back then handcuffed his lifeless body after he crumpled on the ground. It was captured by a bystander who has been hailed as a hero. He's now in hiding.
