Germanwings Crash Updates: Did Killer co-pilot 'spiked coffee of his captain with diuretic drug?

After the revelation of the cause of the Germanwings Plane crash, more development has been unfolding as to what and what the killer co-pilot must have done, undergo or research before carrying out the plane crash.

According to the new development on the investigation and report by UK Daily Mail, Air crash investigators examine a computer belonging to Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz in a bit to try to determine whether the killer 'spiked' his captain's drink to force him into the toilet.

Two person fear dead and others injured in PDP, LP clash

With just few days remaining before the gubernatorial election, election violence has started in some part of the country. In Ebonyi State punchng gathers that two persons were on Wednesday feared dead following a clash between supporters of Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party in Amagu Ikwo community in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The clash also left several others injured in Amagu Ikwo, which is the home town of Governor Martin Elechi.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the killing of one person to our correspondent.

Lagos APC Apologises To Igbos Over Oba Akiolu’s Threat

Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday tendered an apology to Igbos in the state over an inflammatory statement by the Oba of Lagos HRM Rilwan Akiolu who threatened that Igbos who vote against his candidate in the April 11 governorship election will die in the lagoon.

The state APC Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, in a statement expressed the party’s sincere apology to Ndigbo and pleaded with them to bury the hatchet in the interest of peace and harmony.

“No human being is above mistakes. People can make mistakes and correct it thereafter. The Oba of Lagos can make a mistake and we believe that the statement credited to him was a mistake. If to err is human, we plead with Ndigbo to let the sleeping dog lie.

Lol, that was an incredible goal anyway but it just got to show he is a CR7 big fan. Thai footballer Theeraton Bunmathan scored a wondergoal directly from a corner and then celebrated it in style, doing the Ronaldo sack celebration. 

Bunmathan curled a beautiful set-piece which flew into the unmarked far corner of the goal, over the goalkeeper. Following the goal, the midfielder celebrated with the crowd, and finished it up by celebrating the way Ronaldo does, jumping with style and presenting himself.

The number of cases of a white man shooting down a black man in the US is really alarming. But thank God there is an evidence on this case otherwise there would be no case on this ...

According to the report on this story a video has emerge of a white police officer in North Charleston, South Carolina who shot a fleeing unarmed black man five times in the back then handcuffed his lifeless body after he crumpled on the ground. It was captured by a bystander who has been hailed as a hero. He's now in hiding.

Bomb Factory In Enugu uncovered by Nigeria Police

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Suleiman Abba, revealed during a closed-door meeting in Abuja yesterday with senior police officers that the police have discovered the factory that manufactured Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that caused explosion in Enugu State during the March 28 elections.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), IGP Abba said three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

INEC Chairman Attahiru Jega receive Certificate of Commendation from President Obama

US president Barack Obama a few days ago presented a Certificate of Commendation to INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega, over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections on March 28th, which they said was free and fair, credible and the best election ever held in Nigeria. 

The 'Certificate of Commendation' was presented to Jega on behalf of the US government by US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle. Entwistle said Jega's performance with the election was 'outstanding and worthy of emulation.'

These are Nigerian children at a UNICEF-run refugee camp near Baga Sola in Chad. President Jonathan paid Gen Danjuma a private visit at his home

President Goodluck Jonathan today April 8th paid a private visit to former Defence Minister, Gen. Theophilus Danjuma at his home in Abuja. 

The purpose of the meeting was not made known but according to presidential media aide, Reuben Abati who shared the pics, Danjuma praised President Jonathan for conceding defeat after results of the Presidential elections was announced in favor of his opponent. 

"The manner in which Pres. Jonathan conceded victory is totally unAfrican, it's very important for Africa" Danjuma said.

Federal High Court restrict DStv from increasing subscription fees

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered Multi Choice Nigeria Limited, operator of the Digital Satellite Television, popularly known as DStv, to hold action on its planned subscription fee increment.

Justice C.J. Aneke, who made the interim order last week, held that it would subsist till the determination of a lawsuit contesting the legality of DStv’s newly introduced rates and increase in tariffs payable by all its subscribers in the country.

Two legal practitioners in Lagos, Osasuyi Adebayo and Oluyinka Oyeniji, had approached the court challenging what they described as arbitrary increment in DStv subscription rates imposed on its customers.

Nigeria Military dislodge Boko Haram sect from Alagamo forest in Borno

Nigerian military has again recorded another victory in the fight against terrorism in the North East after a statement release by Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman. He said the military successfully flushed out members of Boko Haram sect from Alagamo forest in Borno after a coordinated operation yesterday April 7th and they recovered armoured fighting vehicles and computers in the terror groups camp.  

“This morning, troops of the Nigerian Army along with support from the Nigerian Air Force, cleared the last camp of Boko Haram terrorists in Alagarno forest located between Kaga and Daboa local government areas of Borno, which link Yobe and Gombe States" the statement read
