Kanye West apologize and settles paparazzo lawsuit

Kanye West has apologized to the paparazzo he allegedly attacked and also settle the lawsuit filed against him far back in 2013.

The rapper plead no contest after accusation of the incident, and damaging photographer Daniel Ramos' camera, outside Los Angeles International Airport back in 2013.

The case was due to go to trial on April 14, but has now been dismissed after Kanye apologised to Daniel.

In a picture of the apology, Kanye is seen smiling as he grips the hand of a suited Daniel, who places his hand on the musician's back as he listens intently.

American actress, singer, and songwriter Demi Lovato has gotten a new rose flower tats done to cover up an old tats that looks like a lip or vagina, which she admits she actually dislike.

Demi has been know for expressing herself with tattoos. But after likening one on her left wrist of a pair of lips to female genitalia, she has finally succumbed to getting it covered with a huge rose inking.

Prison Guards Resign After Photo of Beaten Inmate Leaks Online

Two prison guards from Al Burruss Correctional Training Center in Forsyth, Ga. resigned from their positions Monday after a photo of a beaten teenage inmate kneeling on the floor with a makeshift leash tied around his neck spread across Facebook last week.

The teen in the photo has been identified, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports, as 18-year-old Cortez Berry, who is currently serving an eight-and-a-half-year sentence for aggravated assault, robbery, and theft of a motor vehicle. He was reportedly beaten by "at least" 10 other inmates and then forced to pose for the now viral photo, apparently taken on a contraband cell phone.

Buhari says Lagos State too important for APC to lose

Nigeria’s President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday said that Lagos State is too important for the All Progressives Congress to lose to the opposition.

Mr. Buhari, at the APC rally in Orile area of the state, urged residents to vote en masse for the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode on Saturday.

“Defy all elements, whatever it may be, and vote for APC from top to bottom,” he said.

Mr. Buhari told the crowd that Lagos, with its huge investments, could not be toyed with.

According to Reuters Gertrude Weaver, who last week became the world's oldest-known living person, has died at the age of 116 at a senior care facility in Arkansas, officials said on Monday.

Weaver, who said the key to longevity was to treat people kindly, basked in her brief moment in the global spotlight. She enjoyed being read news articles about being the oldest person on the planet, said Kathy Langley, the administrator of the Silver Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Camden, Arkansas.

INEC release Statement to Address Issues on Card Readers for Weekend Gubernatorial Election

INEC has issued a press statement to address on the ongoing rumour of whether card readers will be used in the upcoming Governorship election. Statement below

The Independent National Electoral Commission wishes to inform all Nigerians that Card Readers will be used for the April 11, 2015 Elections. 

The provision of the Guidelines for the conduct of the 2015 General Elections which outlined what is to be done if a Card Reader fails and cannot be replaced by the Commission within a specified time frame (i.e. Reschedule the election to the next day) will be enforced.
