It has come to our attention that a team of hoodlums in three unmarked Hilux vehicles went round the State, armed with guns, machetes, knives and axes to the houses of APC membersand also to the homes of PDP members in the State who are opposed to the political philosophy of Governor Ayo Fayose. Their most recent operation centered on Ijero Local Government. There, they created mayhem, beat and tortured the 90-year old father of the Commissioner for Finance under the Fayemi administration. The hoodlums destroyed shops and properties including cars belonging even to PDP members because of their perceived opposition to Fayose. The APC members were severely bloodied in the process.

Premier League to share over £1bn from record TV deal

The Premier League has announced that more than £1billion from the recent record-breaking sale of UK live broadcast rights is set to be shared outside the competition between the 2016-17 and 2018-19 seasons.

Last month, it was revealed that Sky Sports and BT Sport had agreed to pay a combined sum of £5.136 billion for the rights to live Premier League football over a three-season period from the season after next.

And the Premier League is now planning to share around 20 per cent of that sum among a range of beneficiaries, providing there is a "satisfactory outcome" to forthcoming international sales and an ongoing regulatory process relating to how the UK rights were sold.

Just few days to the Nigeria Election, there have been a reported bloody arm robber attack in Owo, Ondo State which left not fewer than five persons including a Bank Manager dead as at the time of posting this report.

According to Daily Post, It was a bloody day in ancient town of Owo kingdom, the headquarters of Owo local government area of Ondo State as robbers attacked four banks for hours this evening.

Numbering about seven, it was learnt that the bandits allegedly killed the manager of one of the banks, including seven others, while several were injured.

BREAKING! Germanwing Flight Co-pilot intentionally crashed the plane

According to breaking news report, the co-pilot of the ill-fated Germanwing flight deliberately crashed the plane on March 24th, this is according the chief investigator who just held a press conference explaining what happened. The prosecutor said the Chief pilot asked the co-pilot to take over the controls of the plane so he could go ease himself. 

While alone, the co-pilot locked the door and deliberately manipulated the flight monitoring controls to accelerate the descent of the flight. He refused to open the door of the cockpit to the pilot when he returned and began knocking frantically on the cockpit door. The co-pilot used a button to cause the plane to lose altitude and crash. He never spoke a word during the last 10mins before the plane crashed and didn't respond to air traffic control.

UPDATES: One of the Pilot of Germanwings Flight locked out of cockpit in before crash

One of the two pilots on the Germanwings flight was locked out of the cockpit before the plane crashed in the French Alps, killing 150 people, a source close to the investigation has told the AFP agency. 

The New York Times also cited a senior military official involved in the investigation as saying the black box data indicated one pilot was locked out of the cockpit and tried unsuccessfully to bash his way back in.

"The guy outside is knocking lightly on the door, and there is no answer," the investigator told the newspaper. "And then he hits the door stronger, and no answer. There is never an answer."

19 Year Old Nigeria Student in Canada Amina Lawal Missing #HelpFindAmina

A York University student of Nigerian parentage, Amina Lawal, has been missing since her 19th birthday, which was last Friday.

Amina Lawal, a student at York’s Schulich School of Business, was reported missing by her mother on Saturday after she didn’t return home from school on Friday night, CBC News Toronto reports.

Funmiloya Odusola who is Lawal’s mother, stated that Lawal had gone for a school group meeting on Friday, and had called around 6:30 p.m to say she was on her way home, but she never showed up.

Nigeria close all borders ahead of Presidential Poll on Saturday

Ahead of Nigeria Presidential Poll this Saturday the Ministry of Interior Affairs has announced the closure of all land and sea borders

According to a statement released and signed by the Ministry's permanent secretary, Abubakar Magaji, the closure takes effective from midnight today Wednesday March 25, to midnight Saturday, March 28. The statement says the closure is “to allow for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming national election". A directive has been given to the Immigration service to ensure that non Nigerians do not participate in the elections. See the letter after the cut.
